I worked as a research assistant at my advisor’s research institute

I assisted a professor researching the topic of ○○, mainly analyzing data and translating English papers. Through this work, I gained a deeper understanding of Japanese companies. I also read many papers related to business administration, which broadened my knowledge of the field. In addition, I was able to expand my network of contacts through discussions and debates with my colleagues during my research. I was in charge of planning events to present the research results from the research institute at academic conferences, which allowed me to develop my public relations and marketing skills.
While working at a study abroad agency, I was in charge of students who wanted to study in Japan. The study abroad agency was headquartered in South Korea with a branch office in Japan, and when a student from South Korea registered, the agency connected them with the branch office in Japan to help them adapt to life in Japan. I worked at the Japanese branch office, helping new students from South Korea adapt to life in Japan and become proficient in Japanese. Through this work, I was able to meet many people and become more sociable.

Demonstrating my abilities as a functional clothing designer

I first demonstrated my abilities as a designer at XX, a company that designs functional clothing. This company is famous for breaking the stereotype that functional clothing is only focused on functionality and does not consider beauty. I was involved in the production of clothing that combined both functionality and beauty. We conducted numerous market surveys to understand what functions our customers wanted. Although there was a separate research organization, I went beyond that and worked hard to obtain accurate information through my own efforts. As I searched for what customers wanted, I realized that I had forgotten that I was also a customer. So, I designed from the perspective of a consumer by first thinking about the functions and designs that I wanted. This proved to be effective, and my designs were well received at design review meetings.
As the design team leader at XX, I was responsible for leading the team members and promoting cooperation between departments, in addition to my direct design work. As the design team leader, I was in charge of design briefings and presentations, and I received high praise for my skillful use of the computer programs necessary for presentations.

Researching organic food development as a food development researcher

I participated in research at a food development research institute. It was a project to study the benefits of fermented foods, and several foreign professors who were interested in Korean fermented foods also participated. It was a valuable opportunity to interact with foreign researchers participating in the research with the professors. I was proud and gratified that people from other countries had such interest and affection for Korean fermented foods. In particular, Dr. Park attracted a lot of attention when he presented his thesis. Working with such renowned scholars from around the world further fueled my pride and passion for food research.
I was in charge of research on the development of organic foods. With the wellness craze, many people are interested in organic foods, making this the most important task in the food industry. I often stayed up late with the research team, studying ways to maximize the benefits of organic foods while also stimulating consumers’ taste buds. However, knowing that my research efforts would enable consumers to eat foods that are good for their health, I never felt tired.

I have experience working in a foreign financial institution

I have been working in a foreign financial institution since 2007. When I first joined the company, I was in charge of customer service, product consultation, and opening accounts. Later, I was responsible for requesting financial information from various public institutions, preparing related documents, and responding to inquiries from those institutions. When I was working at the counter, I was awarded the quarterly award for the employee with the highest customer satisfaction rating. I received a lot of positive feedback from customers for my ability to explain things in a way that was easy to understand. No matter how easy I explained things from a professional standpoint, most customers found the terminology unfamiliar and difficult to understand, so I began to think about how I could convey my financial knowledge in a simpler way. I created separate explanatory materials that used a minimum of technical terms, practiced explaining them, and used them when serving customers at the counter. After a month or two, customers began to seek me out specifically for my easy explanations. In fact, even if I didn’t go to such lengths, there would be no change in the contract terms, so it wouldn’t have been difficult to do my job, but I felt that it was my role and my reward to provide easy explanations and peace of mind to those who signed contracts and did business with me, so I did what I could.
Having worked in the financial sector for a long time, I understand the basic financial management processes and have experience in accounting as well as financial management. In addition to various document creation and OS utilization, I have experience in project planning and internal and external presentations, so I believe I have the basic skills necessary to explain and promote new businesses. Furthermore, through my work at a foreign bank, I have acquired practical English skills, and I can speak Chinese at a level sufficient for meetings and projects, which I have been studying since school.

Performing fund management tasks at an investment securities company

The first place I worked after graduating was an investment securities company. Although it was my first job and I only worked there for a short time, I believe I learned a lot. Working in the corporate finance team, I learned about many companies and how each company manages its funds differently. Working with companies as clients allowed me to learn more about business etiquette. I handled deposits and withdrawals of hundreds of millions of yen every day, which made me more meticulous, and I was able to improve my speed and accuracy in my work because I had to satisfy our clients (corporate customers) in the shortest amount of time possible.
I started my accounting career at a small company. I chose a small company because I wanted to test my accounting skills. Handling accounting and tax matters all at once at a company with nothing is impossible without the necessary skills, but even in that difficult environment, I focused on my accounting work and studied constantly, and six months after joining the company, I was able to work in the management support team.

I was in charge of comprehensive design work

At the first design company I worked for, I was in charge of comprehensive design work. It was not a company that specialized in one field of design, but rather a place that handled a wide range of designs, including advertising, graphics, and products. It was also a place where I could learn a lot. The range of designs handled was wide, so I had to learn in order to acquire those skills. Later, I worked at the studio of a teacher whom I respected. He was a designer I had always admired, and I was fascinated by his unique way of working, so when I happened to get the opportunity to work with him, I jumped at it. Working with him gave me the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of his work. It also helped me to persevere in my design work without getting discouraged. My teacher took an interest in my designs and gave me opportunities to take on projects that I could work on entirely on my own.

I have developed various program skills along with my proposal design experience

While attending university, I became very interested in designing spaces using layout design and CAD programs through my major courses, competitions, and graduation projects. I enjoyed working with my hands in technical drawing classes, and I was able to utilize my meticulous personality, which made me even more interested in other projects. In order to study more broadly and deeply, I made additional efforts such as attending an academy. As a result, I passed the written exam for the Interior Design Technician and Interior Design Engineer certifications and obtained the licenses after passing the practical exam. In addition, I went on a trip to Shanghai to study architecture through a club. I actively promoted the trip with my professor using photos I took in Shanghai, and we even held a photo exhibition on campus.
After graduation, I was assigned to design proposals at my first job. At first, I thought that the detailed distinctions in design would be a hindrance, but I became fascinated by the work and worked hard, often staying up late. I began to see the possibilities in various fields. Moreover, I felt that the person in charge symbolized the actual image of the company, so I decided to work hard to become such a person in the future. I also wanted to try other areas of design, so I attended an academy and learned editing programs such as InDesign and Quark, which I am now proficient in.

Know-how gained as a learning management teacher at a competitor

After graduating from college, I worked as a learning management teacher for three years. I increased the number of members from 10 to 50, and I increased the retention rate by providing thorough learning plans and careful counseling to each member. Whenever I visited a member’s home, I made sure to connect with their previous lessons, and I accurately communicated the student’s learning progress to their parents through parent consultations. By working meticulously and sincerely, I gained the trust of parents, and many of them recommended other members to me, allowing me to steadily increase the number of members.
As a result of my hard work, I received the highest evaluation in the winter vacation special promotion for the number of new members and the retention rate of existing members, and was commended as an excellent employee. I was even more proud to receive a 4-night, 5-day trip to Thailand as a reward, which I gave to my parents as a gift.
I am confident that my work experience will be a great asset in performing sales management duties at your company. I am confident that I can successfully perform my role in improving sales performance and supporting member management and retention rates.

Freelancer in brand design and web design

This is my first time applying to a web design company like yours. However, I have a lot of experience doing similar work as a freelancer. I was responsible for tasks such as website creation, banner design, and logo development, which are necessary for brand creation and launch. These projects usually take six months to a year or more, so I worked in a team with several people for large brands. The work itself was freelance, so there were not many restrictions, and I was not directly affiliated with a company, so I was able to work freely.
Once, I had the experience of launching a jewelry brand. It was a place that mainly sold and produced wedding gifts and gifts for weddings. It was a brand aimed at young consumers, so I was assigned to it at a young age after graduating from college, and although I didn’t have much experience, I was evaluated as being better because of my freshness. I worked with brand managers, development professionals, planners, and idea managers to develop the brand. My main tasks were to create a logo that incorporated the company name, edit images, and build a website that applied them. Through this process, I was able to experience all the design work necessary for creating a website and promotional materials.

Managing insurance products in the financial industry

Your company is a life insurance company, but I previously worked at a bank, not an insurance company. I worked as a temporary employee at a local post office bank and was an intern. Working as a temporary intern was often unstable and uncertain. I was not yet a regular employee, and my duties were not fixed, so I needed to learn and work hard in many different areas. So, even though I majored in finance, I felt that I had a lot to learn, and I worked with the intention of learning everything one step at a time.
Specifically, I did mostly clerical work managing insurance products. Insurance products are not a core business at post office banks, but they have been emphasized recently. With the privatization of banks becoming more prevalent, post office banks also found it difficult to escape the market for insurance and financial products. Therefore, one of the roles of office workers was to carry out promotional activities to secure customers in this area. Although I had studied finance, I had not learned specifically about promotion and marketing, so I worked diligently, referring to manuals and reference materials to handle this area efficiently.
In fact, new interns were not required to sell insurance products or acquire customers. However, as I was doing basic office work, I gained knowledge about insurance and financial products, and I wanted to not only know about them but also use that knowledge in practice. So, I wanted to expand my role by taking on work that was not mandatory. I held numerous meetings with my colleagues in product management and my fellow interns to discuss ways to improve work efficiency, and applied the ideas that came out of those meetings to develop new processes. Even though our efforts did not immediately lead to innovation, I felt a great sense of satisfaction just knowing that they were being taken into consideration.
