As a child who wore glasses, I dreamed of the possibilities and limitations of lenses

From a young age, I wore glasses with a high prescription due to poor vision, and I longed to see the world with good eyesight. From a young age, the glasses that pressed tightly against my nose felt heavy, and the world appeared blurry and frustrating when I took them off. I hated the feeling of helplessness that came with having to search for my glasses every morning before getting out of bed. Even when I argued with friends, I felt weak because I had to crawl on the floor without my glasses. The high prescription sometimes caused dizziness, and when I accidentally broke my glasses while being careless as a child, my mother would sigh deeply. “How expensive are these glasses!” I had to wear glasses with high lens compression and astigmatism correction, which were quite expensive, and the cost of the lenses alone was significant.
What helped me fulfill my desire to see the world clearly with my own eyes was taking up photography as a hobby after inheriting my father’s camera. The world I saw with my own eyes was blurry and faded, but the camera had the ability to capture clear images of objects even at a distance, as long as the focus was properly adjusted.
