When presenting the materials I have created, I can make them easier to understand by providing them in a more dynamic way. Collecting movies and games

Among my friends, I was considered a mysterious kid who could get all kinds of interesting movies and games. This was because I was so passionate that I would go out of my way to find things that were not officially imported or translated. Some of my friends were only interested in my collection, which included movies and games that were not age-appropriate.
I would sometimes invite my friends over to share my personal hobby and watch movies or play games together, but many of them couldn’t keep up with my discussions about the numerous pros and cons and artistic merits of these works. They complained that I was dragging out a simple “fun/not fun” discussion with unnecessary ramblings.
At first, I found it difficult to understand and felt like I was the only one who was strange, but as time went by, I found it very interesting to think that this might be the universal attitude of the general consumers I would encounter later as a content creator. This is because there were times when I gave my friends works that I thought were interesting, but they didn’t understand them at all and criticized them as boring. However, there were definitely works that elicited favorable responses from my friends, and I enjoyed analyzing the commonalities and characteristics of the well-received works, feeling as if I were indirectly researching the general consumers I would encounter in the future. The experience of realizing the diversity of my friends who had different perspectives on the fields I was interested in remains a vivid memory.

 

 

Gaining two benefits through composition and piano

Composition and performance are my hobbies and specialties. I often listen to classical music, and I also compose New Age-style music. I compose based on my piano playing, and I have even released an album of classical music compositions. Of course, I am not skilled enough to pursue a successful career in music, but it is a means of expressing my sensibilities. Through composing, I naturally gain knowledge about music and classical music. I can use this knowledge and information as a hobby to communicate with people.
As a sales representative, I meet people of various ages, genders, and social backgrounds who work in a wide range of fields. It is difficult to find common interests with them because they all work in different fields and have lived different lives. However, if you think about it differently, it is not that difficult. I mainly talk about classical music, the current state of music composition, wine, and other topics that come up naturally, and I tell stories that will pique the other person’s curiosity. This makes them interested in my hobbies and opens them up, which leads to not only personal relationships but also business relationships, killing two birds with one stone. Of course, I don’t do my hobbies for business, but there’s no doubt that they have a positive impact on my life as a whole.

 

 

My hobby of watching the latest movies every week

I watch the latest movies every week. I check what movies are coming out every day and decide in advance which ones I will see on the weekend. Once I have decided, I look for theaters showing those movies and book tickets in advance. I do this because I enjoy cultural activities and because it gives me energy to get through the week. The anticipation of seeing the latest movie on the weekend makes me happy and helps me get through the week with enthusiasm. So, it has become a habit for me to watch movies on the weekend, and I think it is a doubly enjoyable hobby because I not only watch movies, but also meet people with whom I can share memories.
Recently, I have been participating in cultural events such as plays and exhibitions, as well as watching the latest movies. As an office worker, my work is somewhat repetitive, so I think that enjoying cultural activities and seeing dynamic professions gives me something in return. Therefore, even if I join your company as a new employee, I plan to continue enjoying cultural activities and pursuing my hobbies, such as participating in activities and learning new things. By doing so, I will work as an energetic employee through the balance of work and hobbies.

 

 

Running a band with coworkers and busking

I was in a band in high school, where I was the backup vocalist and guitarist. I love music, and I enjoy playing and singing, so I found great joy and fulfillment in being part of the band. I had always practiced singing, so I enjoyed practicing vocals as a backup lead singer, and I felt a sense of accomplishment as my guitar skills improved after learning to play in high school. After graduating from high school, I went to college and continued playing in a band with friends I had met in high school. We had experience performing on stage frequently in high school, and we worked well together. So, we continued to play in a band in college, performing frequently at cafes and on stage to build our career. The more we played together, the better we became, and our audience and fan base grew, so we eventually started our own social media accounts.
After gaining experience on stage in college, we tried busking. On stage, there is performance equipment and echo, which makes it easy to communicate with the audience, but busking is more difficult and requires experience. It is an open stage, and you need a loud voice and your own equipment to communicate with the audience. So, after four years of playing together, we started busking and posted our performance schedule on Facebook. Some fans came to see us, and we also gained new fans who happened to see us while passing by Hongdae or Insa-dong. Usually, busking involves acoustic performances, but we were a rock band, which was unusual, so we sometimes drew complaints from people around us. Through trial and error, we were able to interact with the public by playing soft rock music.

 

 

My hobby is watching late-night movies

My hobby is finding and watching late-night movies. I know at least three movie theaters near my house, and I go to see movies at night whenever I have time. Even on weekdays, late-night movies are a good hobby because there are fewer people and the prices are cheaper. On weekends, when I have time, I enjoy watching movies until the early hours of the morning, and I can say that watching movies frequently is one of my pleasures. Watching movies like this allows me to make memories with the people I watch them with, and even if I watch alone, I can make memories for myself. When I make memories for myself, I always write reviews with comments about the movie. I also collect movie tickets and make an album.
I keep the album to myself, but I write reviews and share them with others. Rather than keeping my thoughts to myself, I try to gain insight into movies by sharing my thoughts with others. The more you know about movies, the more you can appreciate them and enjoy them. So, I post my reviews online and exchange opinions with other people who post their reviews, and through interacting with them, I am gradually learning a lot about movies. Trying to learn as much as I can about movies is also useful for my job in marketing. Since marketing has to reflect trends, I think that knowing about movies is a good way to understand the public’s mindset.

 

 

An animation enthusiast

I love animation. I have loved manga since I was in junior high school, and I have read all kinds of manga, including Korean, foreign, and Japanese manga, without distinction. I especially like reading manga books, and since I was a student, I enjoyed spending time at manga cafes. Even as a college student, when I was busy with my studies and my head hurt, I would go to a manga bookstore and stay up all night reading manga. Manga and anime are an integral part of my growth, and they are my only outlet for relieving stress. However, I don’t just watch anime, I am also very active in related activities.
Since high school, I have been cosplaying as manga characters and going to events where I can express myself freely. I am also a manga enthusiast, so I draw my own manga and post it online. I listen to people’s comments on my manga, make corrections, develop the characters, and complete the story. Now, my drawing skills have improved to a certain extent, and I have become accustomed to developing characters and stories. Of course, cosplay and manga creation are still just hobbies, but I plan to develop my hobby into an amateur-level skill so that I can actively pursue it online in the future.

 

 

Writing: the ability to express my thoughts calmly and logically

After a childhood spent dwelling on words and rumors, I changed my specialty to writing, which allowed me to express my thoughts calmly and logically. When I was young, I liked to be the center of attention and spread stories that would attract people’s interest, so I was passionate about collecting and spreading rumors. However, as I gradually began to select only the parts that everyone wanted to hear and change the nuances to spread the rumors further, I began to feel a little complicated, and I became more interested in the workings of the world through writing rather than speaking. Although speech and writing may seem similar, there are many differences between them, so I had to work very hard to develop my writing skills in order to convey my opinions in a more logical and reasonable manner.
On the one hand, unlike speech, which can draw people in and hold their attention in real time, I often felt at a disadvantage with writing, which requires you to attract people solely with your writing skills and techniques from the very beginning. Many of the techniques I had used to spread rumors, such as a boisterous atmosphere, lively tone, and eye-catching gestures, were omitted or rendered useless in the writing process, and often sank deep into my heart and remained sealed away.

 

 

Becoming interested in literature through my rich sensitivity

I have loved literature since I was a child. I became interested in poetry when I was a preschooler and tried my hand at reciting poems. I began winning awards in poetry recitation contests and showed a talent for creative writing. Of course, recitation and creative writing are different fields, but reading and listening to a lot helped me develop my creative writing skills. When I entered elementary school, I started writing my own poems and stories. I participated in many writing contests for students and won many awards. In middle school, I was selected for a literary club and participated in activities with a small group of people. We shared our works with each other and discussed our impressions. Those memories stayed with me, and when I was in high school, I took the initiative to start a literary club and ran it.
Seeing my activities, people around me and my parents recommended that I pursue a career in writing. In particular, some people recommended copywriting. My parents worked in the advertising industry, so they were familiar with this field and were able to guide me in preparing to study copywriting. In high school, I focused on preparing for college entrance exams and went on to study advertising and public relations, while continuing to take courses related to copywriting and building my career. I actively participated in study groups, club activities, supporter activities, and contests during my college years, which allowed me to hone my writing skills.

 

 

Playing the guitar and singing

During college, I was in a club where I played the guitar. I participated in volunteer work at concerts and accidentally fell in love with music, which made me want to join a band. Of course, I didn’t actually join a band, but I joined a club where I could learn to play the guitar, and I mainly played electric guitar and bass guitar. Usually, guitarists perform separately from vocalists, but I enjoyed singing while playing the guitar. When I sing, I sing quietly with a soft voice, but I was attracted to the strong sound of the electric guitar when it accompanied my singing. That’s why I especially enjoyed soft rock and other genres of music, and sometimes I would rearrange indie music into rock.
Playing guitar and singing always suited me well, but I wasn’t good enough to be the main singer in a band. So, I practiced on my own to improve my skills and prepared for performances. Instead of performing at school festivals, I did private performances on the street with a friend. My friend mainly played percussion instruments such as the djembe and drums, while I played other instruments and sang along or harmonized with him. As we performed, many people listened to our songs, applauded, and cheered us on. I learned a lot through the process of preparing and practicing for these performances and then actually performing them.
