In this blog post, we will introduce actual examples of sales self-introduction letters that convincingly convey sincerity and trustworthiness.
Growth
My father, who worked in transportation, always left for work early in the morning, so he woke up before us and went to bed before we came home so he could get ready for the next day. He was busy and didn’t have much time to spend with us, but on special days, he would leave gifts and cards by our beds before leaving for work. Thanks to my father’s love, I was able to grow up confident and proud, even though we weren’t wealthy. I couldn’t afford to go to cram school or hire a tutor when I was in school, but thanks to my close-knit siblings, my older brother and sister always helped me with my homework and studying, so I was able to maintain good grades and go to college without any problems. Looking back, I think all of this was made possible by the harmonious family atmosphere and my parents’ love.
School days
I was a typical boy with a lively and active personality who loved sports. During recess, I was always the first to run to the basketball court, and on weekends, I played soccer and baseball. My physical education teacher noticed this and recommended that I major in physical education, and since it was something I was good at and enjoyed, I chose it without hesitation. When I went to college, my school life was a bit tight because I was playing sports, but I enjoyed sports itself, so I was able to get through my classes without much difficulty. I also obtained instructor certifications for various seasonal sports, such as water skiing and snowboarding, so I was able to work part-time during the vacation period and enjoy my favorite sports to my heart’s content, which was a great way to spend my time.
During the semester, I was also a member of a youth volunteer group in my department, where I helped low-income children with their after-school classes. In fact, all I did was play sports such as basketball and soccer with the children and listen to their stories, but I worked hard because I thought that even that would give the children who were unable to do so due to various circumstances a little leisure and fun. During the semester, I also took part in a volunteer group in my department that helped low-income kids with their after-school classes. To be honest, all I did was play basketball and soccer with the kids and listen to their stories, but I worked hard because I thought it would give them a little break and some fun, which they didn’t have due to their circumstances. I am still in touch with some of the children I played sports with and listened to. One of them in particular decided to major in physical education after seeing me, and he recently passed the college entrance exam. I am more grateful than he is for contacting me and telling me that majoring in physical education was the most rewarding thing he has ever done.
Strengths and weaknesses
People often tell me that I have a good personality and am a nice person. Perhaps because I played sports, I am good at group activities and following rules and regulations, so I am used to getting along well with people. In addition, my consistent and sincere attitude is a habit that I have trained myself to have over a long period of time, so I think that I am basically a very reliable person in many ways. Although I am an icon of trust, my first impression is not very friendly or attentive, so I am sometimes misunderstood as being blunt. However, once you talk to me a little more, that misunderstanding is quickly cleared up, and it is not difficult to see my warm and attentive side, which is like the soft inside of a hard walnut shell. People have many different characteristics and personalities, but I would like to describe myself with two words, trust and reliability, and use those words to communicate with others. These two things are the foundation of relationships and give us the strength to overcome any challenges that arise between people.
Career history (or experience that demonstrates your work abilities)
I thought a lot about whether to use my major to become a physical education teacher or coach. However, since I spent most of my childhood playing sports, I wanted to experience a wider and more diverse world based on the knowledge I had accumulated in school. At the recommendation of a senior, I started working as an FC at an insurance company after graduating from school and took on the challenge of a new field, sales. To be honest, it was a field I was unfamiliar with at first, and I felt awkward meeting new people and persuading and explaining things to them, but unlike what I had known before, it was a new experience to encounter so many different people with different personalities, and I felt a sense of challenge. After learning the basics of sales through my senior and insurance products, I decided that I wanted to do work that allowed me to interact with people more organically, rather than insurance or finance. The owner of a sporting goods store, whom I had known well since school, offered me a job, and I started a new career as a store manager at a large sporting goods store in Gangnam. Being diligent, sincere, and having a strong work ethic from playing sports, store management was a good fit for me. With the added understanding of people I gained from insurance sales, I achieved my best results in recent years during my ○ years of employment.
Once I gained some confidence from working at the sports store, I became motivated to try something new. I applied for a sales position at a company that has been manufacturing medical assistive devices for 20 years, and unlike my previous jobs, where I had to study on my own, I was able to start a real social and corporate life, staying in a training facility with my colleagues and receiving training. Medical assistive devices were a new field for me, so I had a lot to learn, and most of the people I dealt with were from hospitals and other related fields, so I had to make an extra effort to understand their characteristics and needs. I worked hard to understand the features of the products through the company’s manuals, and I also volunteered to visit sites where medical equipment was actually used to see how it was used in real life. As I became familiar with the products and understood how they were used, I was able to communicate with users much more smoothly, and these efforts gradually led to sales results. The company recognized my achievements and proactive attitude, and I was the first to be assigned to various training programs, seminars, and exhibitions that the company offered. Through my work in sales at XX Company, I was able to learn and acquire the mindset of a salesperson, which is the foundation of sales, as well as the practical knowledge that is difficult to put into practice, such as understanding the products and the users.
Motivation for applying and aspirations
Through my previous work experience and sales, I had high expectations for the various medical devices and services offered by XX Company. Not only the quality, but also the after-sales service and systematic know-how in sales management. I am proud to be a salesperson, but I am even more proud to be a salesperson specializing in medical equipment. I applied to ○○ because I wanted to expand the skills and abilities I have accumulated as a medical salesperson and grow together with the company. I always prepare ahead of others and have a basic attitude of approaching everything with sincerity and consistency. I study the products and approach sales from a user-oriented perspective, considering how users feel and what aspects they find interesting. I think about what kind of service I should provide and how I should approach customers from their perspective. I believe that this mindset is the foundation of sales and, in fact, in some ways, it is the foundation of dealing with people in general. With these fundamentals in place, I believe that meeting people and conducting sales will lead to results. As I mentioned earlier, I would like to establish myself as a professional medical equipment salesperson and move forward to a position where I can truly be a central pillar of the company and organization. I hope you will take a close look at me and my values and give me the opportunity to contribute to your company and organization.
