How can you highlight your unique experiences in a self-introduction letter for overseas sales planning?

In this blog post, we will introduce specific writing strategies and effective ways to highlight your unique experiences when writing a self-introduction letter for overseas sales planning.

Growth

“A harmonious family leads to success”

My father was a person who valued family harmony above all else. He worked overseas a lot, so I rarely saw him due to his late nights and overnight work, but even when he was busy, he always made sure to take our family on a picnic or weekend trip once a month. Even when we went on trips together, he was often called back to work, but he never gave up on our weekend family outings, even if it was just an hour-long walk.
My father believed that working hard at his job was the way to protect his family. He believed that his family’s happiness was what gave meaning to his work, and because of this, our family has a unique bond.
My father was always kind to my sister and me, but he was strict when it came to correcting our bad habits and problems. When I was in school, I loved reading books and often missed dinner because I was reading. My father was busy, so it was rare for the whole family to eat together, so when my father was home, it was a family rule that we all ate together. I would often be late to the dinner table because I wanted to read just a little bit more, and my father would scold me.
He said, “If you neglect your family’s promises, it will be easy for you to neglect your promises to other people. Even small promises are promises. Keep your promises.” After that, I began to keep my promises.
My mother, who took good care of my busy father, always taught me to greet people properly. It became a habit to greet my neighbors first, and I ended up greeting everyone I met, so people often tell me that I am very friendly.
I grew up receiving plenty of love thanks to my father, who was busy but family-oriented and always tried to make my sister and me laugh like a comedian, and my mother, who understood my father and warmly supported him. Influenced by my parents, I grew up to be a polite and loving person.

Strengths and weaknesses

“An icon of tolerance and positivity”

I am a loving person who embraces others. I learned patience and tolerance from my mother, who was a strong support to my father, who was always busy with work. She taught me to always greet people first and not to hold a grudge even if they don’t greet me back, and that it is important to be polite. As a result, I grew up being praised by my neighbors for being friendly, and my friends often tell me that I am like an older sister to them.
I have a cheerful personality and am always smiling and positive. I inherited my cheerful and friendly personality from my father, who was always confident. No matter how difficult or tiring the task, I tend to shake it off quickly and think positively. As the saying goes, “You can’t spit on a smiling face,” I believe that when I smile first, people will smile back, so I always try to smile when interacting with others.
My strengths include excellent adaptability and meticulous work habits. Even when I go to unfamiliar places, I tend to feel excited rather than nervous, and I actively approach people, which makes me very adaptable. I am a quick learner and once I understand something, I always do my work meticulously and perfectly without making mistakes.
My weakness is that I am simple. Because I am simple, I tend to forget things easily, whether they are good or bad. My friends may be upset for days, but I am the type of person who lets things go and doesn’t hold a grudge, even if it makes my friends feel bad. This can be a strength, but it can also be a weakness because I tend to brush off serious matters too easily, which can hurt my friends’ feelings. I try to forget bad things quickly, but I also try to consider the other person’s perspective and resolve any issues that might cause them to feel hurt.

School life and studying abroad

“I grew up on Japanese anime.”

I have loved Studio Ghibli animations since I was a child, and watching them sparked my interest in Japanese. In high school, I started studying Japanese on my own by watching Japanese dramas. Japanese was also my second foreign language in high school, so I would ask my Japanese teacher about anything I didn’t understand while watching dramas, which made studying more and more interesting. That’s why I decided to major in Japanese literature at university.
I joined a Japanese drama club in my department and studied Japanese conversation through the Japanese dramas I had enjoyed watching since high school. In high school, I could only understand the meaning by reading the subtitles, but through club activities, I became familiar with modern Japanese terms, and by studying grammar and vocabulary, my understanding of dramas improved greatly.
In the club, my seniors and I chose a drama and studied it in a study group. I received a lot of help from my seniors, and especially from those who had studied in Japan, who helped me greatly in understanding Japanese culture. So when I became a senior myself, I worked hard to teach Japanese to my juniors and enjoyed studying with them.
After graduating, I went to Tokyo to study Japanese for a year. I didn’t plan to go to another vocational school, but I wanted to spend a year studying abroad with the goal of fully mastering what I had learned in Korea. The more I learned, the more difficult Japanese became, and I realized that the more I studied, the more I had to approach it academically. I returned to Korea after mastering Japanese to the point where I felt confident enough to use it in my daily life and in my work. It was a valuable time that allowed me to become more independent and broaden my perspective on the world while living away from my family.
