What kind of self-introduction letters do insurance company HR teams like?

In this blog post, we will explain the characteristics of self-introduction letters preferred by insurance company HR teams and points to keep in mind when writing them.

Growth

As a child, I was obsessed with Tetris and building blocks. I found it very cool that I could achieve something grand by stacking tiny pieces like puzzle pieces one by one, and I remember my parents being amazed by my persistent concentration, as I would forget to eat and drink while playing with puzzles and block toys that were too difficult for a child of that age. No matter how impressive and wonderful the result may be, it is made up of many small, meticulous parts, and I have always been aware of the fact that if you don’t take enough time to put all the pieces together step by step, you will end up with a mediocre result. This gave me the leeway to not be impatient when I was engaged in new studies or work in my daily life.
At that time, I was still young, so it was a little difficult to imagine myself growing up to be a wonderful adult like my parents and contributing to society, but when I thought of it as the result of my efforts each year, each month, each day, and each moment, it didn’t seem so far away or impossible. Even if it was a story set in the distant future, I felt motivated when I thought that my current studies and achievements would be the building blocks of my future self. When you stack the first one or two blocks, you can’t imagine how complete it will be, but if you keep working with perseverance and time, and stack all the pieces according to the plan, you will end up with a work of art that anyone would admire, just like Lego.

School life

It was a time when I was thinking about what I could do now to prepare for my future. I was conscious that every moment of the past was like a block that would build the future me, so I always tried to keep my mind focused so that I wouldn’t neglect my daily duties or waste time. I also enjoyed thinking about where the things I accomplished today would fit into the overall model. I couldn’t clearly imagine whether it would be visible to everyone and serve as proud proof that I had always been exceptional, or whether it would remain a memory of the past that I would be too embarrassed to show anyone.
However, even though I was unsure about the future, I was aware that if I ignored my achievements and started to slack off, I could lose everything I had built up, so I always focused on maintaining the status quo and continuing to improve. I wanted to achieve results and accomplishments that would impress anyone, and I wanted to build a wonderful life with those achievements that would inspire admiration in others. Even if my daily efforts seemed insignificant, I held fast to my inner conviction that I could achieve my goals by imagining the final result that would be achieved through the accumulation of those small pieces. I always looked far ahead and thought that I had to become a talented person who could lead the future. I didn’t want to be a narrow-minded person who gives up easily just because I can’t see immediate results.

Strengths and weaknesses

I am a person who values daily efforts, building up one piece at a time, and I am always focused on my work. At first glance, it may seem like I am just repeating the same tasks over and over again, but I believe that only the solid foundation built up over a long period of time can guarantee a stable future. Just as it is difficult to earn the trust of many people with results achieved hastily in a short period of time, I believe that achievements that everyone admires and believes in can only be made by steadily building a foundation and adding to it over time. As the saying goes, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” Rather than running breathlessly, constantly testing your limits and struggling to cover a thousand miles, it is better to take your time, enjoy the scenery around you, and carefully consider the situation as you calmly conquer the road.
This has been criticized as being too stable and avoiding adventure, and not properly testing the limits of one’s abilities. However, rather than aiming for steep slopes from the start and pushing myself too hard, I believe that I can only reach a stable conclusion by gradually improving my skills in an environment that allows me to shift gears little by little, and only when I have gained sufficient self-confidence should I take on challenges.

Life philosophy

I have a philosophy of steadily laying the groundwork for the final years of my life, preparing to fit the last piece of the puzzle into place. When you first see puzzle pieces scattered everywhere, you naturally complain, “How am I going to put all these together?” But as you gradually fill in the gaps and complete the whole picture, you can’t help but wait with excitement for the moment when you fit the last piece into place.
Furthermore, it is only when all the pieces are in place and the picture is complete that you can see the results clearly, so I always strive to live my life to the fullest so that I will not leave this world feeling disappointed or dissatisfied when I look back on my life.

Motivation for applying and aspirations after joining the company

My tendency to focus on the small puzzle pieces that make up the future stems from my belief that the small tasks we perform every day without even realizing it can add up to something great, and that the value of our daily efforts is the result of our accumulated work. I believe that this is more in line with your company’s philosophy of steadily building a foundation through continuous development and preparation rather than achieving results in a short period of time, which is why I decided to apply for this opportunity.
If I am given the opportunity to demonstrate my abilities at your company, I will not consciously reveal my future plans, but rather take small steps in my daily work and use them as a foundation for my future self. I will spare no effort to prove to our customers the tremendous power that can be achieved through many years of accumulation. Like water dripping on a stone, or like water flowing in a river, leaving traces on the riverbed, I want to prove the power of time that flows endlessly without our awareness.
