Growing up with such parents, I think I inherited my neatness and meticulousness from my mother, and my interpersonal skills and fearlessness in front of others from my father. That’s why when there was a fight between seniors and juniors at university, I acted as a catalyst to resolve the conflict, and I even stepped in to resolve fights between professors. They even called me the magic key and assigned me to be in the middle when assigning rooms to professors. The same is true in difficult situations. I learned again about patience while I was in the military. Even in tense situations, I learned to think about the whole situation rather than my own safety and to be patient. I think that is my strength and a good foundation that allows me to get through anything.

My best and worst experiences are the same. It was when I dropped out of high school. I dropped out of high school because my family suddenly fell on hard times and I had to earn money. My father felt sorry for me, but I thought that I had to contribute even a little bit to save our house, and that it was my role as the eldest son. So I quit high school and started working, and for two years I couldn’t go back to school. I worked 18 hours a day at a factory. Eventually, I passed the exam and got my high school diploma, and I was able to enter college. Those were really hard days for me. Every day, I lived in fear that I would lose my home. However, it also gave me strength. At that time, I developed strong patience and perseverance. I learned how to overcome fear and pursue my dreams, and it made me realize how grateful I am for what I have now.
