What do recruiters look for in a sales resume for the telecommunications industry?

In this blog post, we will introduce the key points that recruiters look for in a resume when hiring for sales positions in the telecommunications industry, along with tips on how to write a good resume.

Growth

My parents decided to move out of the city because I suffered a lot from skin problems when I was young. I believe that growing up surrounded by nature helped me become a person who adapts well to my environment and is friendly toward nature. I think it was a difficult decision for my parents, who were working for a mid-sized company in the city at the time. I am grateful to my parents for sacrificing so much for me. When I look at photos of myself as a child, my whole body was red, and it looked like my skin was red. After leaving the city and living in nature, I was able to completely restore my skin in five years. My parents took great care in everything they fed me. Living in nature, my parents started growing our own food in our garden. Watching them, I was able to feel the wonders of nature, and I also learned how much care and attention it takes to grow crops, which made me always grateful for the crops that grew well. My parents’ eating habits also changed a lot because of me. My father, who had always worked sitting down, had a lot of belly fat. However, after moving to the countryside, his belly fat disappeared. My mother, who used to suffer from colds and other illnesses due to seasonal changes, became so healthy that she no longer had any problems even during the changing seasons. With these changes, my family felt like we were living a second life. This is because everyone’s health changed before and after the move, and we were able to live energetic lives. In the process of growing up with nature, my father always reminded me of the greatness of nature and the importance of protecting it. He told me that it is difficult to clean something, but it only takes a moment to dirty it. I agree with him. I want to communicate the importance of nature to people and sell your products through communication.

School days

Since I was a child, I have always been good with my hands, which attracted the attention of my friends. I loved drawing, so I would draw my friends’ faces, capturing their distinctive features and creating caricatures. I was interested in art and music, but since I had never studied them professionally, I gave up on going to art college early on and decided to pursue art and music as hobbies. When I entered university, I joined the school band and played the drums. I had never learned to play the drums, but my natural sense of rhythm and passion for the band impressed my seniors, and they appreciated my efforts and gave me the opportunity to play the drums. It was difficult to get into the band, so I always practiced hard. I learned to play the drums from my seniors, but I worked even harder by taking drum lessons at a cultural center. The reason I worked so hard was because I didn’t want to let the team down. In a band, it’s not just one person playing well that makes good music; it’s when everything comes together that you can bring joy to people. I performed on countless stages while I was in the band in college. When I first stood on stage, my heart felt like it was going to jump out of my chest, but once I got used to it, I discovered that I could feel the stage. I think that through my activities in the band, I was able to develop a personality that allows me to approach others more actively and boldly.
I was also the president of a university environmental club, where I developed a keen interest in nature. In addition to participating in nature conservation activities, we held discussions and seminars on the environment with middle and high school students. I believe it is important to motivate people to put their knowledge into practice. I will continue to strive to be a practical intellectual.

Strengths and weaknesses

The greatest strength of my personality is that I am always consistent. People around me say that I am a “consistent person.” I really like this description because it means that I have not changed from my original self. In fact, I always try not to lose sight of my original intentions and to remain humble. This is because I believe that the moment I think, “Only I can do it,” I am on a downward slope. I don’t think there is anything that can be done alone. That is why I believe that cooperation with others is necessary to achieve my goals. My unpretentious personality and honesty are the reasons why I have many friends. I believe that people are the greatest asset, so I strive to maintain relationships with those I have formed bonds with. When I was young, I spent a lot of time alone surrounded by nature, and I always regretted not being able to make friends with whom I could communicate and share my feelings, instead of nature being my only friend. I think this influenced my desire to like people and maintain long-lasting relationships. I believe that consideration and trust are the most important factors in maintaining long-lasting relationships, so I always try to see things from the other person’s perspective and am careful not to break their trust.
On the other hand, my innocent and simple image makes me vulnerable to being taken advantage of by others. However, I don’t consider this to be a weakness because I value trust between people. I will strive to maximize my innocence as a strength.

Work experience (or experience that demonstrates your work abilities)

My first sales job was at a dairy company. In addition to delivering milk, I also had to attract new customers, which was difficult for me at first. In the summer, I had to sit under the hot sun for three to four hours to attract new customers, and I also had to deliver milk early in the morning. My colleagues, who were full of enthusiasm when they applied with me, quit within a week or a month. However, I couldn’t quit my job because I was also responsible for sales management. I made up my mind to become the best milk salesperson, and I worked hard to promote the product and attract people’s attention. The results gradually became apparent. The number of customers doubled. My efforts were recognized, and I was promoted to team leader. Perhaps because it was the result of my hard work, I felt very emotional.

Motivation for applying and aspirations

Muhammad Ali said, “People are afraid to challenge themselves because they lack confidence, but I believe in myself.” I started my career in sales, but recently I started working at a mobile phone store and then became a mass sales intern at a mobile phone carrier, always working in the field of sales. There is no surefire way to succeed in sales, but I have always believed that I can do it, and that belief has brought me to where I am today. I applied to your company with the ambition of becoming the “best salesperson.” If I am hired by your company, I will be a passionate, proactive, and enterprising employee. I will also be a talented employee who works hard and takes action rather than just thinking. I want to be helpful by demonstrating my best sales skills at your company.
