Which experiences are the most persuasive?

In this blog post, we’ll share examples of experiences and tips for writing about them in a persuasive way that demonstrates real-world relevance and organizational understanding.

Passionate Experience

“To learn business and economics, I gave up my private life.”
I’m originally a liberal arts major. My teacher told me that the foundation of all disciplines is the humanities, so I entered the humanities department and learned the so-called literature, history, and philosophy, but it was useless to me. I needed something more practical, so I chose business administration as an afterthought. I was in my third year, but I found business administration to be a tough subject, and it was difficult for me to overcome the toughness that others had learned for three years. So I joined the middle club, where I studied business and economics. At that time, I was majoring in both humanities and business administration, and I was working part-time while going to the academy to study abroad, so it seemed like an impossible task for me to go in there and study. But I thought that I had to study hard once I majored in business administration, so I gave up my personal life. I would wake up at 6 a.m., walk for a while, go to the cram school to study English, work a morning job from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., go to class, go to the library to do my assignments, and then go to the club meeting at 8 a.m. to take the test. At first, I was at the bottom of the class with a terrible score that made me think there was no point in studying hard, but because of my passion for not giving up, I eventually got first place and became an example for the club. As a result, I scored very high on the test every year, and in my senior year, I won the excellence award in the school’s economic competition and the first prize in the newspaper essay competition, and I served as a business and economic mentor at a high school under the university. It was a non-stop life for about two years until I graduated from college, but I believe it was a valuable time for me to ignite my passion.

Accomplishment Experience

“Leading a youth camp, learning to communicate with people.”
In my second year of university, I achieved a certain level of TOSS qualification, and based on that, I thought I should go abroad for language study. However, I couldn’t afford it, so I was thinking about it, and then I saw an announcement that they were looking for someone to lead a youth language camp. I was told that if I was selected, I could go abroad for 10 days and 11 nights for free, and at the end of the activity, the best performers would be given a trip to Europe. After hearing that, I started preparing to apply for the activity. Since it was an activity with great benefits, it seemed like all my active friends from all over the country were there. Some of them sang in the interview, some of them danced. I thought to myself, “What would make me stand out,” and then I created a variety of situations to showcase my ability to lead young people. With that short five-minute speech, I beat the 80:1 odds and was accepted and started the activity. The experience of traveling across Canada with a group of friends, some of whom spoke English well and some of whom didn’t, from Grade 5 to Grade 1, doing various activities was more challenging than I thought it would be. First of all, it was our responsibility to watch over the kids from morning to evening in a country that was unfamiliar to us, and it was not easy to communicate with these kids who had different perspectives and different ages. However, I reached out to the kids with problems and communicated with them from the bottom of my heart. As a result, I became close to all the kids in my team, and they wrote me letters and bought me gifts when we parted ways. I think that by thinking from the children’s point of view and being considerate, I learned how to care for people and communicate with them.

My competencies

“Understanding human beings through extensive studies and diverse experiences”
My competencies are that I have knowledge of humanities, management, and economics. I started late with a major in literature and social philosophy, which are the basics of academics, but I studied hard, and I also have knowledge of business administration, which I studied hard and eventually got high scores. I have been abroad twice, once as a leader of a youth camp where I led a team of young people, and another time traveling throughout Japan and Europe, learning and experiencing different cultures and management methods. I have also had a variety of experiences. Through these various part-time jobs, I was able to deal with many people and understand what it is like to be an advocate, to think and understand from the other person’s point of view. Through these various studies and experiences, I think I have gained an understanding of human beings, an understanding that is often lacking among young people these days. If I were to work as a management support recruit at LG Electronics, I promise that I will use my extensive knowledge and understanding to get along well with people, learn sincerely, and become an employee who will make LG shine.

Personality Strengths Weaknesses

“I adapt well wherever I am.”
The strength of my personality is ‘adaptability’. Although I am not overly active or outgoing, I like people and approach them well, which is why I am often complimented on my ‘good impression’ and ‘kindness’. It is also partly due to the fact that I have been around a lot of people. In addition to adapting to people, I also adapt well to situations. I’ve had regular part-time jobs like serving, but I’ve also had so-called “no-gada” jobs where the hourly wage was high because I couldn’t afford it. When you’re doing such a job, you can’t show your pride, or you can’t ignore it. You have to live on the same level to adapt. So I’ve had a lot of different part-time jobs, and I’ve learned to adapt to the crowd and live at different heights, and I’m good at it. I also thrive in new situations. From my experiences in Canada, as well as traveling all over Europe, I’ve never met anyone who can live and thrive anywhere like I can. I’m a very easy-going person, so I can sleep in places where a lot of people snore. As a person who gets along well no matter where you put him, I am confident that I can serve and take care of any person I meet while providing management support.
The downside is that I’m very greedy for new things, so I often just go for it without thinking twice. That’s why I make a plan from one day to the next and plan new things according to that plan. I’m starting to see if I’m in a situation where I can plan new things instead of just going for it.

Future aspirations

“I will be a new star of LG Electronics by being proactive.”
LG is not just a Korean company. When I was in Toronto, I felt the stature of LG and saw that LG’s products are spread all over the world, and I felt proud as a Korean. I think that working as a management support for such a globally expanding company, LG, means that you have to meet various people, communicate with various people, and go through various situations. And I am very confident in that part. If you put me out in the desert, I’m confident that I’ll come back alive, eating cactus. I don’t have a lot of experience, but what I’ve gotten out of it is that I’m a person who’s comfortable everywhere, and I’m going to try to be more approachable, more friendly, more proactive, and always be a person of integrity when I’m doing my job, when I’m acting as a liaison between the executive team and the front line, and I look forward to working with you.
