In this blog post, I will introduce how to write a self-introduction letter for a medical technician that effectively conveys your unique experiences, skills, and sincere passion.
My upbringing
I still consider my parents to be my closest friends and role models. They always emphasized two things to me: “Take responsibility for your own actions” and “Take responsibility for the decisions you make.” They raised me with very strict standards in this regard. From an early age, I learned that I had to take care of my own affairs and take responsibility for my decisions, which helped me develop an independent and proactive personality.
School Days
Thanks to the assembly toys I enjoyed playing with as a child, I became increasingly interested in making, disassembling, and reassembling things. When my friends’ devices broke down during my school days, they would bring them to me first, and I would examine them as if I were an expert, study how they worked, and repair them. This work always inspired me and was a fascinating and enjoyable process. Wanting to become independent quickly with these skills, I decided to attend a technical high school, unlike my friends, and spent three years studying enthusiastically and acquiring skills. When I was about to graduate, my teacher encouraged me to study more and broaden my knowledge, so I decided to go to college. At college, I studied various subjects and built a foundation for learning about the world in a broader sense through a wide range of human relationships.
Strengths and weaknesses
Meeting people and talking with them gives me strength. Some people say that I must not like being alone because I enjoy the sense of accomplishment I get from assembling and creating things by myself, but I think that while talking to machines is part of that sense of accomplishment, meeting people is a pleasure that comes from emotional communication. That’s why when I meet people, I always try to create an atmosphere where they can talk freely by talking about myself first. Conversation is not something that is enjoyable only for me, but something that requires two-way communication, so I put myself aside and create an atmosphere where the other person can speak freely.
This strength was directly related to my part-time job, where I received after-sales service at the counter, and most of the people I met had complaints and frustrations in common. So, I made a point of smiling and greeting them first, asking if they were having a hard time, and I enjoyed the process of helping them relax through my empathy. As this process repeated itself, my counter was always busy with customers, and I had customers who came back and left messages of praise with my name on them. I was even selected as the employee of the month, which was the only time I received such an honor during my part-time job.
Of course, it can be difficult to pay attention to every little detail, and it takes more time than just talking about what is necessary at home. However, I believe that my calling is to increase customer satisfaction through this process, and I think that is the result of always doing my best.
Work experience (or experience that demonstrates work ability)
I have practical experience and skills in machinery through my technical high school education. This experience was useful when my professors conducted research at university, and I had many opportunities to participate in various research and experiments after I enrolled. While working in the laboratory, I worked on the ○○○ and ○○○ projects, and when I graduated, I developed and introduced a device based on my own idea and plan through the ○○○ project.
Motivation for applying and aspirations
When I was assisting my professor with his experiments, he often took me with him to meetings. Through these meetings, I met many people from various related fields, and one day, I received a business card with a somewhat unfamiliar name, “Medical Engineering Team.” I met someone who worked in the medical engineering team at ○○ Hospital, and they told me vividly about various applications of medical devices and their experiences in the field. For some reason, that meeting and the profession of biomedical engineer stayed in my mind, and I decided to visit again to learn more about the job and the necessary qualifications. I felt that being able to help patients with their illnesses through machines was very meaningful, and I realized that my knowledge and practical experience in the field of machines, which I love and am good at, would be a great asset.
I am sincere and have the basic skills to find and do my work. In addition, I have acquired specialized knowledge through industrial high school and engineering college. I am already excited at the thought that my qualities can be used for patients and hospitals, and that my small efforts and skills can be used to save people’s lives. I would like to join the professional medical engineering team at XX Hospital, where everyone is always eager to learn and work hard with a sense of vocation for the medical profession.
