How to highlight your golf course maintenance experience in your cover letter

In this blog post, we’ll discuss the key points to incorporate your golf course maintenance experience into your cover letter and how to showcase your integrity and consistency.

Growing up

“The only way to defeat the passage of time is to keep up with it,” was the philosophy of my mother, who, even at her advanced age, still looks and acts as strong as ever. She had been courted by many men in her youth, including my father, because of her good looks, but she realized that this could not last forever, and that she had to be careful to protect the assets she had been given. As a young woman, I was proud of my mother’s striking appearance, but when I thought about the lengths she had gone to throughout her life to maintain it, I was often left speechless with admiration. I was also proud of my mother because she never let her appetite or laziness get the better of her, and she always remained upright and dignified in all situations, setting an example for me.
My father also testified that he never saw her disheveled or indolent in all the years we lived together, and that she always lived her life with great dignity, and I saw in her thin, frail body a willingness to be defeated by no one. Although my father was more masculine and virile by the world’s standards of “masculinity,” my mother was the one who excelled in the area of determination and extraordinary ambition, and she possessed great willpower. In addition, her way of teaching me to always do my best to live as a human being who is not ashamed of herself and who is proud of herself was the foundation for me to keep my body in good shape, keep my mind sharp, and take good care of myself.

My school years

were a time when I was always trying my best to think about what I could do in front of others, rather than being silly or showing my immaturity, because my mother recognized and encouraged me to think about what I could do and do my best to show it, rather than thinking about what I couldn’t do because I was young, and to recognize my abilities and possibilities. Thanks to my mother’s education, I’ve always been motivated to go out of my way to see how far I can go, rather than thinking about what I “can’t” do, and then push myself to do even better. It was as exciting and enjoyable as checking my height every day to see my progress, because I didn’t give up, and I was able to see myself improve little by little.
No matter what trials and tribulations came my way, facing them with the intention of seeing how far I could push myself, rather than just giving up and thinking, “I’m not strong enough,” became a springboard for me to grow my potential and push myself to excel. My ability to be so much more experienced, motivated, and able to find the positives in my failures, such as “I’ve come a long way from the last time,” is what drives me to never be afraid of challenges and to keep moving forward. I would also find an ‘excuse’ to get ahead in any situation by finding a ‘reason’ to get ahead, such as working harder on tasks that I perceived as ‘better than the others’ and working harder to fill the gap in tasks that I perceived as ‘a little behind the others’.

Personality

I am a person who does not procrastinate on tasks at hand, responds to them with steady effort, and works diligently to build up achievements. I always realized the importance of ‘routine’ by watching my mother, who never forgot to wash and take care of her face, never missed a workout, and kept her body in shape even when she was tired or busy. While people around her used to say, “You can’t help the way you look and the way you’re built,” I was the closest to her knife-like habits, and I realized that her passion was truly remarkable, because the words “different starting point” and “natural talent” couldn’t explain the years of hard work she put in.
Time is something we fight for our entire lives, and it’s easy to take it for granted because we’re given so much of it, but it’s something we’ll never get back if we waste it thoughtlessly, and that’s something I’ve tried to be conscious of and fight for since I was a kid. Just as if you don’t clean your room every day, the dust will accumulate and it will be harder to pick it up all at once, so everything in the world is designed to beat the person who does it ‘faithfully every day’.

Life Creed

If you make a mountain out of a molehill of to-do’s, you’re bound to collapse on yourself at some point. Sometimes, with the mentality of ‘it’s okay if you put it off all at once’, people often neglect their duties in favor of leisure and fun for the moment. This is because, in the context of a day that is set up to appropriately distribute labor and leisure time, the amount of time a person has to work seems so small that it feels like nothing, and is considered “okay to put off a few things at once.
But just like the grains of sand in your hand, once the weight of the sand starts to accumulate and settle, it can become too tight to push even a single finger through, so too can the time you spend procrastinating build up to a scale that can be difficult to defeat. And when that mountain of procrastination collapses, you’ll be the one who suffers the most.

Career Details

○○I started my career in golf course management at a resort, where I worked for four years, gaining experience at other resort branches to develop my all-round skills.

Motivation and Post-Career Aspirations

My pursuit of the ability to diligently perform tasks without procrastination, and to let time pass by without confronting it head-on, has provided me with a springboard to ensure that I don’t procrastinate and build towers of work, trapping myself in a self-imposed paralysis. Your philosophy of favoring people who have the diligence of mice, who are able to build on their accomplishments in small increments, rather than those who can only get things done by pulling out all the stops, resonates deeply with me, which is why I applied.
The regression of the past and gradual change over time is nowhere more evident than in the natural environment, where we often marvel at the greatness of nature that has weathered and grown over the traces of past human civilizations. The facility management of a golf course, which is an artificially created environment for the artificial enjoyment of natural scenery, is an effort to defend man-made beauty against nature on a daily basis, even on a microscopic scale, and I want to ensure that the defenses are in place to counteract the tides of time, which can make the forces of nature much more powerful.
