Motivation for applying

“To sincerely serve customers”
People tell me that their first impression of me is that I look weak because I have a pale face, and that I seem shy because I am thin and don’t talk much. However, I would like to say that I am actually a typical example of someone who is gentle on the outside but strong on the inside, having worked part-time jobs since I was 19. Not only did I earn money for my study materials by handing out flyers, but I also worked part-time at a café and fast food restaurant to save up for my college tuition. After entering college, I wanted to attend a speech school and study in-flight manners, so I worked many part-time jobs at restaurants and hotels to earn the money myself. That is why I was confident. I had been working in the service industry for over six or seven years, so I thought I would be good at flight attendant work. However, when I boarded a plane for the first time and saw the service spirit of the flight attendants, I was completely surprised.
It was a Kumho Asiana Airlines flight. At the time, I was excited about a short backpacking trip. It was vacation season, so there were many families traveling together. The flight started without any problems, but then some children started crying and became noisy. The crying children woke up other babies who were sleeping, and they also started crying. The elderly passengers complained about the noise, and the students became irritated. It was my first time flying, and I was a little flustered by all the commotion. However, the flight attendants remained calm and went to each area where there was commotion to calm everyone down. I was surprised to see them trying to calm everyone down, whether they were passengers, babies, or students, by looking them in the eye. Usually, when you work in customer service, you provide service according to a certain system. In fact, when you are working, you are so busy that you don’t have time to pay attention to each and every customer. However, the flight attendants paid attention to each passenger and continued to take care of them until the commotion subsided.
That scene stuck with me, and I started thinking about becoming a flight attendant again. Before, I was arrogant and thought I could do it well, but now I am determined to work hard and become someone who can create a safe and warm flight experience that allows all passengers to relax and enjoy themselves, just like I saw then. That feeling remains unchanged today. That is why I decided to apply to Kumho Asiana Airlines. I want to become a flight attendant who can provide safe, comfortable, and enjoyable service to customers, just like the beautiful flight attendants I saw that day. I will serve each and every passenger with sincerity. Thank you very much.

Future plans

“I want to remain passionate and true to my original intentions.”
In five or ten years, I will definitely be a flight attendant. During my internship, I will surely make mistakes and feel confused because I don’t know what to do. I may even go home and cry, but I will get back up, learn diligently, and complete my internship as the best intern so that I can become a full-time employee. And in five or ten years, I will still be a flight attendant, flying with my junior colleagues. The important thing here is to have a mindset that goes beyond simply becoming familiar with the job. I will probably be just as passionate as I am now, with the same enthusiasm and sincerity that I had when I started. Even after hundreds of flights, countless encounters with people, and occasional conflicts with colleagues, I will resolve any issues and overcome any difficulties. I will always be filled with love for Asiana Airlines, and I will recognize that flying is not something to be taken for granted, but something to be respected. Even though I may have flown hundreds of times, I will always be aware that everyone who boards the plane is doing so to experience the most beautiful flight of their lives. And because of that, I will always do my best to provide the best service possible. Just as I do now, I will continue to take pride in my work and always be mindful of my behavior so as not to create a sense of discord or lower the standards of my workplace.

Desired Position and Qualifications

“A spirit of service that is tailored to people, not systems”
While observing the excellent service provided by Asiana Airlines and preparing to apply for a position at your company, I tried to put into practice the spirit of service I had learned. I was confident that I would become a flight attendant, and I firmly believed that I must not lose that spirit of service even while doing other work. Therefore, I wanted to be someone who provides excellent service to all passengers.
Once, when I was working at a restaurant, I was diligently serving customers and taking orders when a man and woman in their mid-40s arrived, and I could tell that they were slightly drunk. They sat down at any table, but I went over to them and explained that they had a reservation. Then the man cursed at me and sat down at the table I had shown them. I felt the atmosphere become quiet, but I knew I couldn’t let it bother me. So I told them that I would take their order and serve them, and I took their order with sincerity. Even though the food they ordered was served, they said they didn’t order it, and they kept changing their minds because they were drunk, such as saying they ordered pasta but then asking for something else. It got so bad that the man next to them was about to tell them to stop and leave, but I stopped him and continued to serve them with a smile. If I had asked them to leave, it would have caused a bigger problem, and the manager knew that, so he had no choice but to leave it to me. In the end, I served the two of them perfectly throughout their long meal, and after finishing my last order of the day, I sat down in a daze, my legs feeling weak.
What I realized at that moment was that they weren’t bad people, they were just acting naturally according to their own desires. In other words, each person has different experiences and ways of thinking, so they all have different expectations for service. I realized that this is not a bad thing and that we must be able to accommodate all of these differences. Although I may appear weak on the surface, I am strong on the inside and am prepared to respond calmly in any situation as a flight attendant. Based on my experiences, I am a gentle yet strong candidate. I am confident in my abilities. I look forward to working with you.

Experience in overcoming difficulties and performing tasks successfully

“If you can talk, you can reconcile.”
There was a time when I was doing volunteer work at school and a big fight broke out. It was a fight between an orphanage student and a younger boy. The orphanage student kept picking on the younger boy, and the younger boy couldn’t take it anymore and attacked him. The children were very shocked, and even we, who were leading the volunteer work, couldn’t show our faces. Not knowing what to do, I stepped in to mediate, and after letting everyone calm down, I approached them and started a conversation. At first, they didn’t want to talk, but as they opened up, I was able to see where the conflict lay, and in the end, they reconciled, and I continued volunteering at that organization for two years. That was when I realized that reconciliation is possible through dialogue. If I am hired by your company, I will strive to be a person who is always open to dialogue and willing to resolve all issues, including problems between employees, problems with passengers, and problems with myself, through dialogue. Thank you very much.
