How to write a sincere motivation letter for a production support position?

In this blog post, we will introduce how to write a self-introduction letter that sincerely expresses your experience and motivation when applying for a production support job.

Growth

My father runs an auto repair shop. He has been doing this since I was a child, and when I visited him at work, he always let me play in the shop. However, I preferred watching my father repair cars. This was because I found the machines, with their complex intertwining of various strange parts, very fascinating. And when my father repaired those cars, it was amazing to see them move with a “vroom vroom” sound after they had not been working. When he finished the repairs, my father would ask me why I had left the shop, pick me up, give me a piggyback ride, and run around the car with me. I often watched my father interact with customers. I always went to work with him, and I felt that the customers liked him very much because they always smiled at him. From that time on, I decided that I wanted to be like my father. I wanted to be like him: someone who does his best at his job, is highly professional, takes pride in his work, and lives a happy life with others. I can say with confidence that I have become just like my father. I have always done my best in everything I do, I have never failed, and wherever I am, there is always laughter and joy.

School days

My school days were a time for broadening and expanding my interpersonal relationships. I had a particularly cheerful personality and got along well with my school friends. In elementary school, I think I was better at spending time with my friends than studying. I was physically fit, so I started playing sports in the fourth grade. After I started playing sports, I achieved excellent results in various competitions held in Seoul and even participated in the National Sports Festival for Boys. I also did well in school and was even class president in sixth grade, despite being on the sports team. I continued to get along well with my friends in middle school, and they looked up to me a lot. Perhaps because I was in the sports club, no one picked on me, and I never got into a fight during my entire school career. Still, I wasn’t the type to get into trouble or show off my strength. I also tried hard to study in class so that I wouldn’t be ignored because of my grades. However, as I advanced in grade and competed in more competitions, I began to realize that sports would not be my future. My grades, which had been among the highest in my class, dropped in my junior year, and I realized that it would be difficult to get into a high school that focused on physical education or sports. In the end, I gave up sports and enrolled in a liberal arts high school. At first, it took a long time and was difficult to catch up with my studies. It wasn’t that I wasn’t studying, but compared to the kids who had been studying consistently, it was difficult to get good grades. Still, I didn’t give up and continued to study silently in the direction I wanted to go, as I always had. Then I went on to college, and now that I am an adult like my father, I feel a stronger sense of responsibility for my work. So I worked part-time while studying to earn tuition and pocket money. Among those jobs, there was one that I was so absorbed in that I took a leave of absence from school to work, and that was telemarketing. I always arrived early to work, checked my tasks, and worked meticulously to ensure customer satisfaction. I worked hard because I was rewarded based on my performance. Sometimes, my female colleagues would even ask me for advice on how to improve their performance.

Strengths and weaknesses

I met my wife through a connection I made at my previous job. She always tells me something that I think is my greatest strength. She says she married me because she has always seen that I never lie and always keep my word. I have always tried to keep my word, and I am also the type of person who keeps my promises. As a result, I have always done my best in everything I have done. I always keep in mind that “if it is difficult to be the best in a given situation, choose the best option,” and I think that has led me to always do my best in life. However, I do have some shortcomings. I am often told that I lack decisiveness and that I am indecisive. I always make careful judgments and decisions, so I think this problem arises because I consider things from various angles. In addition, when judging the actions of others, I always consider not only my own position but also the position of the other person, so I don’t think this behavior is easy to change. However, this has never caused any problems at work, so I don’t think it is something to be seriously considered.

Career history (or experience that demonstrates your work abilities)

I am a late bloomer, but since I have always dreamed of finding my first job after graduation, I do not have any directly related work experience. I have not even had a typical internship. However, I had a family to support from an early age, so I worked during that time. During my last year of school, I had to work and study at the same time, so I worked two shifts, day and night, on the production line at a technology company. It was the CNC machining department of a PCB production line, and although it was my first job, I became familiar with the work and skilled at it as I gained experience. I always did my best in my work and never received any negative feedback.

Motto and philosophy

L. Ron Hubbard once said, “Never regret yesterday. Life is what you make it today, and tomorrow is what you make it.”
I never regret the decisions I make. I always live in the present and never look back on the past. I believe that looking back on things that are already over and cannot be redone is a waste of time. I believe that this attitude has made me the person I am today.

Reason for applying and aspirations

I understand that your company is an automotive parts manufacturer that produces wiring harnesses for automobiles, and that your flagship product, wiring harnesses, has secured a high level of technological expertise through a technical partnership with Yazaki Corporation of Japan, allowing you to grow into an exclusive supplier of wiring harnesses for automobiles. In addition, you have embarked on research and development of wiring for electric vehicles in collaboration with Technopark, and the demand for wiring harness technology for electric vehicles is expected to increase significantly with the launch of electric vehicles by automobile manufacturers. I was attracted by these continuous challenges and growth potential, and I decided to apply because I felt that they were similar to my own desire to always grow in a progressive direction.
If I am hired by your company, I will do my best to demonstrate my abilities in the department to which I am assigned, based on my background knowledge in my major. In addition, I will work harder than others to acquire the skills necessary for the tasks assigned to me so that I can produce better results. Of course, there will be many differences between theory and practice, but I believe that my engineering knowledge will be of great help in handling practical tasks, and I will always strive to achieve mutual growth for the company and myself with a willingness to learn.
