In this blog post, we will introduce strategies for writing a self-introduction letter, focusing on the traits and experiences that companies value most when hiring experienced bank employees.
Growth
My sister and I grew up as twins, sharing many things. Although we were born only one minute apart, I looked up to my sister very much, and she also took good care of me. When we were young, we were always together, and I felt like I couldn’t live without her. I wanted to do everything with her. My sister and I had similar tastes, so we liked the same things and wore similar clothes, and we got along very well. Our parents tried hard to raise us well and talked to us a lot. Even though they were always busy, they made sure to spend time with the whole family on Sundays. They would take us on trips, not often, but they would make an effort to go on outings to the riverbank to remind us that we were a family. I still remember how people would pat us on the head and tell us we were cute whenever we were playing together. I remember going around with my sister and getting lots of treats. During this time, I felt the warmth and security of my family. I also talked a lot with my parents during this time, and my habit of talking at that time was to focus more on what the other person was saying and listen from their perspective. As a result, I think I naturally developed the ability to listen to others, balanced social skills, and a free way of thinking. Even now, my twin sister and I are each other’s strong support in life. We always care for each other and try to help each other whenever there is a problem, and I think we are now in a position to support others. I believe that these qualities were formed by the warm care of my family, which gave me a positive view of the world and a perspective on life that values every day.
School days
When I was in elementary school, I did everything with my sister, so I wasn’t very good at making friends. In particular, when I entered junior high school and my sister and I went to different schools, I was an introverted and quiet student with little presence until I entered the second year. However, when I became the head of the library club at the recommendation of my homeroom teacher in the second year of junior high school, I became a lively person who could easily get along with my friends. In high school, I learned responsibility and proactivity through club activities, and I received two certificates of commendation and an award for merit. Above all, my sister, who attended a different school, was a great help to me, always supporting me wholeheartedly. In particular, when I was teased by other students after starting junior high school, she helped me not to lose hope. When I entered university, I often traveled with my sister. I was very happy studying hard and earning money through part-time jobs so that I could travel with my sister. I also love eating delicious food, so I had my own list of favorite restaurants. I started a blog because I didn’t want to keep my favorite restaurants to myself, and now I am proud that I can recommend restaurants to other people. In addition, through club activities that took advantage of the nature of my department, I participated in activities related to banking and also did an internship. Before graduating, I also went abroad to study languages. While I enjoyed studying abroad and talking with foreigners, I also felt homesick and wanted to return to Korea quickly.
Strengths and weaknesses
The greatest strength of my personality is that I am always grateful. Modern society is changing rapidly, but I am not swept away by it and live my life without losing my individuality and sense of calm. In addition, no matter what I do, I never forget my clear goals in life, and even when things get tough, I always work with a positive attitude that I can do it, which has allowed me to achieve satisfying results. Thanks to this attitude, I have many friends around me. All of this is because I am always grateful for my life. This attitude has made me a positive person, and my long-time friends tell me that they like my cheerful attitude. They say that even if something seems difficult at first, they feel that they can do it if they work with me. I am confident that my bright attitude and gratitude will be a great asset in my daily life and social life.
On the other hand, my overly positive attitude can sometimes lead me to be overly optimistic about life, which can cause me to be taken advantage of by others. I believe that everything happens for a reason and I trust people easily, so it takes me a while to realize when I am being deceived. However, despite these instances, I believe that the benefits of having a positive attitude towards life outweigh the disadvantages, and I have no intention of changing my attitude.
Career history (or experience that demonstrates your work abilities)
During my school days, I learned the importance of considering the other party’s position when negotiating while promoting cooperation between my club and a bank. As the head of the lecture team for my finance club, I wanted to try something new. After thinking carefully, I remembered that the assistant manager I worked with during my internship gave many lectures. I wanted to contact him right away, but I couldn’t just ask someone who was working, so I was stuck again. Upon further consideration, as a finance club, we needed to ask new members to open stock accounts, and if we entrusted this task to the bank, it could lead to new customers. I visited the bank with my proposal and suggested a partnership with our club, and the branch manager readily agreed and helped me move forward with the plan. After the deputy manager’s lecture was successfully completed, the members were more enthusiastic than ever, and the bank also promised to continue the partnership, saying that it had been very helpful. I am confident that this kind of owner’s spirit and customer-oriented mindset will be a great asset in promoting the development of KOSDAQ companies, which play a key role in the South Korean economy.
Motto and creed
Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “All experiences that stop us and make us afraid teach us strength, courage, and confidence. We can tell ourselves, ‘I’ve overcome this fear, so I can overcome the next one. ’ Therefore, do the things you think you cannot do.”
I always like to take on challenges with confidence. With a positive attitude and gratitude for being alive, I believe that nothing is impossible. That is why I have always lived a life of challenges, and I believe that this has given me invaluable experience that cannot be replaced by anything else. The work skills and customer service attitude I have learned while working at a bank have been very helpful, and I believe that I will continue to gain a lot through my future experiences.
Reason for applying and aspirations
I am confident that my cheerful and positive personality and the know-how I have gained through my work experience will be of help to your company. I believe this job opening is a great opportunity for me. While working at your company, I would like to demonstrate my abilities to the fullest and show that I am a talented person who strives to improve by filling in any gaps in my knowledge.
