How can you showcase your accounting skills in your cover letter?

In this blog post, we discuss how accounting job candidates can effectively showcase their hands-on skills and meticulous work ethic in their cover letter.

Growing up

My parents are my biggest supporters in life. I believe I was able to grow up healthy and active because they emphasized living with an attitude of diligence and gratitude in everyday life. They told me that nothing is unimportant and that it is important to be grateful for the things around you. I took my parents’ words to heart and lived my life with a diligent and sincere attitude, not taking everyday life for granted, but looking forward to each new day, which I believe is the foundation of my positive attitude towards anything that comes my way.

Life Creed and Life Goals

“Do your best.” It’s the most basic of words, but I live my life by the basics because I know the impact of this basic idea. I believe that in order to do your best at anything, you have to enjoy it first, because when you enjoy it, you’re more likely to do your best, and you’re more likely to work hard to make it the best it can be. However, it’s not always possible for a person to do only the things that are enjoyable, so I try to find the enjoyable side of things, even if they’re hard, and that’s what makes me enjoy them.
I want to be the best at your company. I will be proactive and take initiative in the tasks entrusted to me. I will also maintain a good relationship with the people I work with and build trusting relationships with them to help the company grow.

Personality Strengths and Weaknesses

I am very meticulous in my work. This meticulousness has its downside in that it can make others feel uncomfortable, but I strive to make the most of it and make it one of my best attributes. I believe that this meticulous nature is essential for someone who works in accounting, as I look for errors in calculations and omissions when closing out the books. I hope to use my meticulousness to my best advantage and make myself an indispensable part of your company.

Life View

I executed a backpacking trip around Korea while in college. When I first told my parents about my plans in high school, they told me that there is a time for everything and that now was not the time to travel. When I told my parents again in college, they again told me that now was not the time to travel. There’s never a right time to travel and expand your horizons, so I packed my bags and put my plan into action. Traveling alone has taught me so much. Some people asked me what was so fun about traveling alone, but I was so happy to have the time to walk and think, to enjoy the scenery, to calm my mind, and to figure out what kind of life I wanted to live. Traveling across the country over the course of two long months made me realize the importance of everyday life. I realized that my daily routine was precious enough to make me appreciate every day. I also realized that I should always take action, not just plan, because if I hadn’t been able to do the backpacking trip I had planned because I didn’t get my parents’ permission, I would still be living a life where I didn’t realize the value of everyday life. Based on this realization, I am living my life with passion, appreciating every day.

Post-employment aspirations

I live my life with the attitude of always doing my best and sticking to the basics. I have made unremitting efforts to join your company, but I believe that hard work never ends. Therefore, even after joining your company, I will not stop at performing the tasks assigned to me, but I will always be a person who is always learning and strives for the development of myself and the company. I believe that the company and the employees are one body, and I promise to work hard with the idea that we will always develop together, and I will be an enterprising employee with creative ideas and attitudes.
