How to incorporate a people-oriented attitude into a trade office self-introduction letter?

In this blog post, we will introduce practical skills required for trade office work and how to naturally incorporate a sincere, people-oriented attitude into your self-introduction letter.

Growth and school life

Since I was young, I have hated losing to others. I have always been competitive, but I think it is because I am very ambitious. When I was in elementary school, I attended piano lessons and participated in many competitions. Whenever I heard the word “competition,” I felt that I had to win, so I worked harder than anyone else. I practiced piano not only at the academy but also at home. I practiced so late into the night that my neighbors complained and asked me to let them sleep. From that moment on, I hated my neighbors. Because it meant that I couldn’t practice as much as I wanted to. In fact, I won the silver prize in that competition. And I don’t think I’ve ever cried so hard in my life. My obsession with piano competitions ended after that competition because I didn’t do well and people around me were jealous of my talent. I tried to focus on other competitions. Competition in academics was always my priority. My mother was very enthusiastic about education, so I think academics was an easy way to trigger my competitive spirit. After that, I never failed in my studies until I entered high school.
However, when I entered high school, I began to notice other things. I was always diligent in my studies. And because I always felt that I had to be perfect, I tried my best in everything I did outside of school. It was volunteer work that changed my perception. When I first encountered my grandmother and grandfather, I was still caught up in a competitive mindset. So I tried hard to be praised for working harder than anyone else. I helped the elderly bathe, cut their nails, and serve meals, even though I didn’t have to. A friend who was watching me said, “If you want to do that, go volunteer somewhere else.” At first, I thought my friend was just trying to make me feel bad. So I started observing him. In order to always win, you have to know your enemy well. However, that friend didn’t do even a fifth of what I did. In fact, he was three times slower than me. But there were always smiles and laughter around him, and he was surrounded by people. I didn’t understand. Why was that? I approached him to find out his secret. When I did, he willingly shared his secret with me. He said that this wasn’t a game of winning or losing, but about how you treat people. He told me that he had a grandmother who was physically disabled, and when he came to work, he felt like she was there, so he naturally treated everyone like he would treat his grandmother. He said that I, on the other hand, treated the elderly like they were just numbers. I thought about this carefully. I wondered what it really meant to treat people with sincerity, and I asked my mother for her opinion. I decided to treat them as if they were my late grandmother. Above all, I treated them with the same kindness that my grandmother had shown me. As a result, I gained many grandmothers and realized what it meant to treat people with sincerity. Since then, I have learned to be competitive in my work and treat people with kindness.

Strengths and weaknesses

The greatest strength of my personality is my competitiveness. I hate losing more than anyone else, so I do my best to win. I did my best not to fall behind in my studies, both during college entrance exams and after enrolling in a business administration program. I always took the lead in group presentations and projects as a group leader and team leader, and always achieved good results. Of course, you may say that winning is not the only thing that matters. However, I pursue victory in both the process and the result, rather than just the result. That is why I don’t think I have any weaknesses.

Career history (or experience that demonstrates your work abilities)

At my first company, I was in charge of import and export. I secured business partners online and offline, drafted contracts for confirmed deals, and negotiated terms and conditions. I also confirmed product delivery dates and performed other related tasks. Of course, since it was my first job, I mainly worked as an assistant rather than working independently, but I was able to gain a lot of experience.

Reasons for applying and aspirations

Although I have not been working for a long time, I believe that I have enough experience to have a certain level of background knowledge. Of course, I am not mentioning this to show off my experience, but only to show that I am always prepared. The reason I applied to your company is simply because I believe that I have the basic qualifications required for the position.
If I join your company, I will always strive for the development of the team and the company based on the knowledge and personal experience I have accumulated so far. In addition, I will not neglect my personal development, but will always approach my work with a willingness to learn, so that I can become the best talent recognized for my abilities in my field.
