When I entered high school, my mother fell seriously ill. With their last hope, my parents moved to the countryside, and I believe that my mother’s will to live helped her overcome her illness. While she was recovering in the countryside, my parents learned about “laughter therapy” on TV. Desperate for a cure, they both started laughter therapy, and a year later, my mother returned to Seoul looking much better than before. When I heard the story from my father, I was really surprised. It was true that laughter was a cure-all. My mother is now almost completely cured. She always tells me the importance of laughter. She believes in it even more because she experienced it herself. I feel the same way. When I see my parents smiling, I feel like all the stress I have from work disappears. Since then, we laugh at even the smallest things in our home. When I laugh heartily, I feel as if my chest has been cleared, and the worries that were bothering me just a moment ago seem insignificant. I believe that my parents’ cheerfulness is the foundation of our family’s harmonious atmosphere. They always smile and find joy in making those around them happy. I believe that my parents’ influence has helped me grow into a lively and cheerful person.
School days
I had a vague desire to start my own business, so I struggled a lot when it came time to decide on a career path for college. There were so many different types of businesses, and I had no idea what kind of business I wanted to do. Around that time, I had a project in social studies class where we had to point out problems in Korea and come up with solutions. It was a team assignment, and after much deliberation, my team decided to focus on the declining marriage rate. In the process of working on this assignment, I naturally began to think about marriage, and I realized that the declining marriage rate is linked to a decline in the working population in Korea, which in turn can lead to intergenerational conflict. While thinking about ways to solve these social issues, I came up with the idea of a wedding business. After setting specific business goals, I majored in business administration at university and worked part-time at wedding halls and wedding-related companies. I thought it was important to gain practical knowledge and experience while studying at school. While working part-time at wedding companies, I became familiar with wedding costs, and my friends often asked me for advice regarding their sisters’ and brothers’ weddings. I was happy to help them, and it made me feel infinitely happy that I could be of assistance. After helping several couples get married, I gained confidence. I began to believe that I could do it well. I think the wedding business, which helps couples promise to become one, is very rewarding. I want to be someone who impresses customers with a differentiated business strategy.
Strengths and weaknesses
My strength is that I have a more reserved personality than others. I grew up in a happy family, and my parents, who always smile, have had a big influence on me. When I encounter difficulties, rather than getting frustrated, I laugh out loud, and it makes me feel refreshed. Thanks to my limited personality, I am always surrounded by people. Whenever I hear people say that I make them happy, I feel proud. I value relationships with people, so these words give me strength. My easygoing personality not only allows me to maintain harmonious relationships everywhere I go, but also enables me to act as a mediator in times of conflict. While working at my previous company, a contract with a contractor was about to be terminated. This was because there was a difference in interpretation of the contract between the two parties. As it was my first time leading a contract, I felt a greater sense of responsibility, so I racked my brains to find a compromise that would satisfy both parties. After staying up for two nights, I was able to reach a conclusion. However, it was not easy to restore the trust that had already been broken. Nevertheless, I persevered in persuading them and approached the situation by compromising on the details of the contract. In the end, my sincerity won them over, and we were able to reach a satisfactory conclusion. This experience made me realize once again that sincerity wins out in the end. I believe that my personality will be a great advantage in the service industry.
On the other hand, I don’t get angry easily. I always laugh things off, so people sometimes misunderstand me as weak. However, as the saying goes, “soft on the outside, strong on the inside,” I am a gentle person when I am gentle, but I can be strong when I need to be. I believe that you cannot judge a person by their appearance alone, so I do not rush to judge others based on their appearance. I will be a person who leads the organization’s cooperation with my gentle charisma.

I enjoy working with people, so I decided early on that I wanted to work in the service industry, and after entering university, I worked at a wedding-related company. My first part-time job was to schedule weddings for engaged couples and help ensure that the events ran smoothly. It was very busy on weekends because there were many weddings, but I did my best to make sure that the bride and groom had a meaningful wedding because it was a special day for everyone. I also worked at a studio. The studio mainly did wedding photography, and I was in charge of arranging outdoor locations for photo shoots. I ended up traveling a lot as I searched for scenic locations. I also learned basic photography techniques while assisting with photo shoots. I was in charge of photographing the actual wedding ceremonies, which sparked my interest in video editing, so I learned how to use video editing software and am now proficient in editing.

In order to escape the current slump in the wedding industry and find a new runway, I decided to take on the challenge of combining Lotte Department Store’s women’s outlet with fashion. I believe that only by constantly challenging myself can I live a life that is truly worthwhile. I believe that my life, in which I always overcome shortcomings and seek new challenges, will bring about a synergistic effect that will lead to success for everyone. I have always been interested in the service industry, and with the ambition of becoming the best in the wedding business, I have gained a wide range of experience in the field. This will be useful in helping me plan and operate your company’s overall business. I am also interested in event planning, which brings joy to customers. While working in event planning, I worked diligently to gain expertise in the field. I am confident that I can increase customer satisfaction with new and innovative ideas.
