In this blog post, we will introduce ways to naturally and sincerely convey the trust and relationship-oriented attitude necessary for trading work in your self-introduction letter.
Growing environment
I believe that people cannot live alone, should not live alone, and should not be arrogant enough to think that they can live alone. As everyone says, humans are social animals. Just as we need our families to eat and live, we cannot live alone, and if we do, we will become like otaku. Furthermore, I believe that people do not live by their own abilities alone, but ultimately give and receive invisible help from others, so we should not be arrogant enough to think that we can live alone. That is why I believe that relationships between people are important. It is the same principle as when you meet someone for the first time on the street, you cannot treat them carelessly because you do not know what kind of person they are or how they will treat you. Furthermore, I have learned through experience that people who do not trust others cannot do anything perfectly. If you are like a lone wolf who does not trust others and does everything yourself because you are good at it, not only will you not be able to get things done on time, but your belief that you are perfect will ultimately lead to contradictions. That is why I believe that it is important to maintain a certain distance in relationships with others while still being friendly. Keeping a distance means maintaining relationships without losing my independence. I believe that blindly liking or following others is not living your own life, but becoming a servant or slave. My father had a big influence on my thinking. He said that trust in people is the last resort for maintaining humanity. That is why my father always seemed to have many people around him. He never regretted his belief in people. He always considered those around him and shared both difficult and joyful moments with them. I believe that this made him a very “human” person, and it allowed me to grow up to be a “human” person as well.
School life
Since elementary school, I think I did a lot of things with other children to make money. For example, I enjoyed collecting things like stickers and sorting them into good and bad products to buy and sell at better prices. Perhaps because of this, I had many friends around me. When I entered junior high school, I realized that I needed to learn more in order to sell better products at higher prices, so I devoted myself to my studies. I also participated in an origami club for three years in high school. I was good with my hands, and I think that making paper mobiles and other things helped me develop my creativity and spatial perception. At first, I just followed the instructions in origami books, but even then, if the book was a little difficult, I quickly lost track of what to do. As I became more familiar with origami, I was able to add my own creations to the original instructions. Even though the shapes were the same, the color and texture of the paper gave each piece a different feel. As my origami skills improved, I became more interested in paper. What started as a hobby made me realize that even in one job, you need to be able to apply what you learn, and that this can also be applied to your studies. I decided that I wanted to be someone who always does their best in everything they do. I also enjoy sharing my skills with others. When I entered university, I volunteered as an origami teacher for elementary school students. Through origami, I realized that it helps develop intelligence, and I thought it would be even better to start at an early age. I used various types of paper to attract the children’s attention. Their eyes would widen, just like mine did when I first encountered unfamiliar types of paper. Of course, I worked hard at my studies and always did my best, cherishing the relationships I had with others.
Personality
I take after my father in personality and my mother in appearance, and I have a bright and cheerful personality. I think positively about everything, am very affectionate, and enjoy taking care of those around me and talking with my friends, so I have many friends. I was popular among my friends, so I was the president of my class from elementary school through high school, and I was the representative of my department in college. I enjoy socializing, so I am also active in online communities. I love people so much that I actively meet new people through social media. Through the internet and social media, I was able to meet various people, gain indirect experiences, and develop my perspective on the world. I was once deeply immersed in blogging. I became interested in trade and started posting my research on global trade fairs on my blog, and unexpectedly, many people started following me. Every day when I turned on my computer, I would find numerous messages from people asking me questions. I thought it was amazing. I realized that it was possible to connect with people all over the world. I am a sociable person who enjoys meeting new people. Trade work also requires meeting various people and building rapport with them, so I think working in trade suits my personality very well.
Career history (or experience that demonstrates your work abilities)
While majoring in trade, I realized that my foreign language skills were lacking. So, I worked hard to achieve my goal of becoming fluent in English and Chinese. I believe that having a goal allowed me to focus and achieve results. It was not easy to master two languages at once, but the sentence structures of English and Chinese are similar, so the more I studied, the easier it became. I currently have a TOEFL score of 110 and HSK Level 6 certification. I believe that obtaining a trade English certification will serve as a foundation for my work in trade administration.
Reason for applying and aspirations after joining the company
Charles Caleb Colton once said, “To know a man, look not to his achievements, but to his failures. For it is failure that sustains us in our pride, but success betrays us.”
I believe that what makes people valuable is what they learn from other people and other beings. I believe that learning from others is a driving force that prevents me from becoming arrogant and motivates me to always strive to improve. Therefore, when interacting with others, I always try to learn as much as possible from their strengths rather than their weaknesses, and through this process, I am constantly reminded of the importance of humility and gratitude for the connections I have made.
After learning about your company for the first time, I became fascinated by it, thinking that it was a field of trade that I could work in. In particular, your management philosophy of focusing on raw materials resonated with me. I had always thought that companies strive to increase their profits, so your social projects were a refreshing change. The reason I applied to your company is because I am confident that I can work hard. It may seem reckless of me to apply to your company with only confidence and passion, but I am proud to say that I have done a lot of preparation related to trade administration in order to cultivate this confidence. This is why I am able to show confidence now. I am a person who believes in and trusts people. If you give me this opportunity, I will prove that it was the best choice.
