In this blog post, we will introduce how to effectively include your continuous self-improvement efforts, such as obtaining certifications and self-study experience, in your self-introduction letter in connection with your growth potential in production technology jobs.
Background
When I was a child, there were always many people in my house learning new hobbies and studying. I grew up believing that even as people get older, they should not turn away from the joy of learning and discovering new things, so it was natural for me to accumulate knowledge and experience. From an early age, I naturally developed an attachment to books, which were scattered throughout my house, and I would watch my parents devote themselves to reading whenever they had time. On weekends, when my parents and sister would each pick up a book that suited their tastes and immerse themselves in it, I would also bring a pile of picture books and concentrate on reading. We often talked about what we were learning in school, discussed various topics, and shared our hobbies, always enjoying pleasant conversations.
My parents did not force me to study, take up new hobbies, or work hard. Instead, they always tried to set a good example and show me the joy of learning. Thanks to them, my sister and I did not feel reluctant to learn new things. I realized through my parents that people must strive to improve themselves throughout their lives, and that no one can say, “Now that I’ve finished school, I’m done studying!” I learned many things from my parents, including the fact that it is better to recognize your shortcomings and work to overcome them step by step throughout your life, rather than becoming complacent and neglecting to continue learning just because you have finished school or found a job. I also learned that this approach adds richness to life.
School life
Unlike my friends, who would complain every time they had to go to cram school, I would think, “How can I get out of going to cram school?” However, after thorough discussions with my parents, I chose cram schools that would allow me to efficiently expand my knowledge in various fields, including subjects that I wanted to study and subjects that I had to study for my internal assessment, even if they were not very interesting to me. My parents didn’t just say they were doing it for me, but they respected my opinions and allowed me to express my thoughts and preferences. They didn’t treat me like a child who needed to be pushed, but like an equal who could have a discussion. Their attitude gave me a sense of trust.
I was always aware of how much money was being invested in me every month, and that I had to do my best to repay their kindness. Even if I was lazy or reluctant to study, the money would still go to the academy, and I felt that not achieving the expected results would be like throwing that money away. Since the money was already spent and could not be recovered, I was able to develop the perseverance to endure even the most difficult and challenging studies so that at least the results would remain within me. In addition, I combined my studies with hobbies to develop myself and regain my energy, and I kept myself motivated so that I would not fall behind in my studies or lose interest and escape.
Strengths and weaknesses
I believe that people must constantly recognize their shortcomings and work to fill in the gaps throughout their lives, so I have a personality that allows me to face my weaknesses and imperfections head-on. This is because I believe that if I am ashamed of something and refuse to face it, I will never be able to improve. If you don’t look at a painful wound in the mirror and check the affected area, you won’t be able to apply medicine or a bandage, and it will be difficult to determine the size and cause of the wound and how to treat it. However, just because you hide it from view doesn’t mean it will heal naturally. In fact, it is more likely to leave a scar, so I think it is best to take action before it is too late and get the right treatment.
Some people have asked me if my tendency to face my shortcomings honestly will cause me to lose confidence and love for myself. However, I have always loved myself not for my apparent perfection and strengths, but for my ability to accept and embrace my shortcomings.
Life philosophy
In this vast world, which is too big to be contained by any individual, I want to become a more complete human being by gaining as much experience and knowledge as possible. The chances of a person being born and raised in a country and space that they consider their home and then being able to freely travel beyond its borders are actually quite slim. Even though we know that there are countries all over the world with different ideas and cultures, we often only encounter them indirectly through the internet or hearsay.
Even in this age of advanced technology, there are still people who have never left their own country. I am aware that there are countless wells in the world, and I do not want to be like a frog that stays in its own well. Instead, I want to spend my life seeking opportunities to encounter as many wells and people as possible.
Motivation and aspirations
When I was a child, many of my peers chose to study for secondary reasons, such as “because I have to,” “because it will lead to a better life,” or “because everyone else is doing it.” I knew that it was a necessary process to get on the right track in life, but no one told me the fundamental reason why, so I had to live a life that felt like a painful and tedious obligation.
My father emphasized that learning is a virtue that must be pursued throughout one’s life, so he did not force me to study, but instead encouraged me to set my own goals, find subjects that I was interested in and excelled at, and gave me advice on how to build my skills in those areas. In this way, he naturally guided me on the path of self-improvement. This gave me the habit of always performing my duties creatively and actively with my own free will, which made me confident that I fit the ideal candidate profile of your company, so I decided to apply.
