In this blog post, we will introduce how to write a self-introduction letter that will increase your trustworthiness and persuasiveness in financial sales, based on our practical marketing experience of understanding and reflecting customer emotions.
Strengths and weaknesses of your personality
“No pain, no gain.”
There is a saying in English, “No pain, no gain.” In Eastern cultures, there is a similar saying, “No pain, no gain.” It means that you cannot achieve good results without hard work, and that hard work will eventually lead to happiness. I have made this saying my motto in life, and I always work hard. This is because I believe that if you work hard at anything, you will get results. Of course, just because you put in the effort does not mean that you will get 100% results. However, I can say that I am a person who is more satisfied with the fact that I am trying and that I have made an effort.
For example, when I was in college, I was the person who worked the hardest on assignments. I always did my best on individual assignments, but when we had group assignments, I did my best to get along with my group members. If no one wanted to be the group leader, I would volunteer and take on the responsibility, thinking of it as my job. Sometimes, when working on group assignments, there are group members who argue about who contributed more and who did not do their share. However, I liked to increase my individual contribution so much that I couldn’t understand such arguments.
The reason is that I believe that the more I contribute, the more I gain, and since the goal is for the benefit of the entire group, I don’t think conflicts that arise in the middle are meaningful. If a small conflict arises and everyone gets emotional, I think it will reduce the overall benefit later on. Therefore, I tend to work hard on my own to promote the overall benefit, and even if there are lazy team members, I try to lead them to the end. Because I do my best, I am recognized by those around me anytime, anywhere, and I always achieve the best results. I have come to believe that if you make an effort, you will get results that match that effort.
School days
“Let’s challenge the limits of economics!”
When I was in college, I studied economics and financial information. I wanted to work in the financial industry, so I wanted to study economics thoroughly. While studying for my major, I read all the basic textbooks on microeconomics and macroeconomics. Usually, students spend more time on applied economics and practical economics because these areas are more useful for work and employment. However, rather than focusing on these areas, I wanted to study the fundamentals in depth.
The reason was that I was fundamentally interested in economics. Since high school, I had been studying economics and had a strong desire to understand socio-economic phenomena. I read economic newspapers voraciously and tried to analyze and interpret the economic phenomena around us using theoretical standards. I continued this study habit after entering university, scrapbooking economic newspapers and building up my general knowledge. In high school, I mainly read Korean economic newspapers, but in university, I mainly read American economic magazines and tried to analyze data on the economic situations of countries such as Canada and Europe.
The reason I was particularly interested in the economic phenomena of other countries was because it broadened my perspective. As I gained a global perspective, I naturally became interested in global economic phenomena. And as I studied with original texts, I wanted to apply what I had learned to actual phenomena and analyze them myself. Of course, I had some weaknesses in writing, such as analyzing and interpreting data and writing critiques. Rather, I found reading comprehension and conversation to be easy, but my writing skills were lacking, so I continued to study economics while supplementing my language skills. In doing so, I decided that in order to become a financier, I had to study economics to the point of mastering it.
Core Competencies
“I will show you the power of emotional marketing.”
I believe that emotional marketing is the new trend in marketing. While receiving job training in sales and marketing, I learned about the importance of emotional marketing. I strongly agree with this opinion, and when I look at advertisements and promotions in various media these days, I see that there is no field that does not apply emotional marketing. For example, some advertising promotions use copy that sounds like a warm greeting from an old friend. When you see this, you feel as if you are really having a conversation with a long-time friend.
Advertisements that move emotions and touch the heart make you take another look at the product or company. When I was in college, I studied advertising sales and tried applying what I learned in a practical assignment. My assignment was to target dog lovers. The subject of the practical training was a pet insurance product, and as an advertising strategy for the product, I prepared a video that captured the affectionate feelings of dog lovers. As with the insurance product at that time, your company will also mainly target financial products and financial services in your advertising. Advertising strategy is directly linked to sales strategy. I am ready to apply new advertising strategies to present your company’s financial services with a trustworthy and family-oriented image. I also have the ability to build a new brand image with new sales strategies that reflect these strategies. Corporate promotion does not require many words. Fresh sales strategies will build a new brand image for your company.
Motivation for applying and aspirations
“Communicating with partner companies as a sales representative at Hanet”
Your company is a financial services company that provides unmanned financial systems. I learned about your company through my experience using the various financial services you offer. I understand that Hanet is mainly engaged in the ATM business, but also operates CD ticket and online payment businesses. As a company that mainly provides payment and withdrawal services, it would be easy for talented individuals with extensive knowledge in this field to work here.
In that regard, I would like to recommend myself for your company’s job opening. I have always been interested in online coin businesses and hoped to find employment in the Internet payment business field. In addition, I am also interested in the kiosk business, so I visited places that offer such services to try them out, and I studied on my own to acquire knowledge in the security field, such as security businesses. As a result, I became more aware of your company. The name Hanet often appears in connection with financial services in Korea, which caught my attention and made me want to work for your company.
In particular, I would like to work as a sales representative at your company. This is because the job of a sales representative involves establishing partnerships with external financial institutions. I majored in economics and have a thorough understanding of the various business areas your company is involved in, and I am confident that I can communicate with partner companies based on this understanding. I would like to work in communication with partner companies such as securities companies, banks, and credit card companies to provide deposit withdrawal, account transfer, and cash services. In this regard, I have the ability to understand corporate analysis data and financial information. In addition, I am confident that I will be able to continuously improve my work performance as I am skilled at reading electronic public notices, financial statements, and income statements. Specifically, I will work to develop myself as an employee who can contribute to the formation of partnerships by checking the stock price information and fair disclosure materials of the relevant companies.
