Growth

As a child, I grew up helping my father with farm work, where I was able to experience the changing seasons and the ecology of all living things up close. My family was not in a position to ask for help just because I was a child, so I was mobilized to help with any work I could do, such as carrying loads and doing other tasks that required physical strength. Rather than feeling dissatisfied with this, I always helped out eagerly because it was a natural part of life in the town where I was born and raised. My younger siblings were much younger than me, and they often came out to work with me, so as their older brother, I felt that I had to work even harder than them.
My father learned farming from my grandfather, who in turn learned from my great-grandfather, so I thought it was only natural that I would follow in their footsteps. However, when I was told that I had to go to the city to study, I was honestly surprised. I had always thought that leaving my hometown and going to the city was something that would happen in the distant future. However, my father believed that my destiny could not be tied to the rice fields, and he wanted me to become the new pillar of our family. He made the bold decision to send me to live with relatives in the city, placing a new burden on my shoulders. It was before I had even had time to lose the calluses I had developed from farm work. Even when my friends began to leave one by one to attend schools far away, I listened without emotion, but I was given the opportunity to leave my hometown and adapt to a new environment and devote myself to my studies.

School life

It was very difficult to adapt and develop in a new environment after leaving the hometown where I had lived for so long. The small differences in daily life and culture, the way people spoke, and the dazzling cityscape were so different from the darkness that enveloped my hometown that I sometimes couldn’t sleep. My father was also uneasy about sending me away, but as the eldest son, I felt I couldn’t show any weakness, so I decided to overcome my difficulties on my own. I felt that if I couldn’t overcome this loneliness on my own, I would never be able to grow up to be an adult. With no parents around to spoil me, I felt a sense of duty to grow up quickly, and even reading letters from home would bring tears to my eyes.
However, I couldn’t afford to waste time on personal feelings, so I divided my time and studied frantically to catch up with the children who were studying at a different level than me. This was because I knew that just getting average grades would not be enough to achieve results that would exceed my father’s investment. I spent every day dreaming of the day when I would return home as the pride of my family, boasting skills that were second to none. Those days were very lonely, but they were also very busy. If I had had the time to relax, I might have fallen into a deep depression. However, the fact that I didn’t even have the luxury of sitting around doing nothing made me focus on my studies, which became a stepping stone for me to improve day by day.

Personality

I am a person who is mindful of the importance of the people who have supported me to get where I am today, and I strive to repay their kindness. Thanks to my father’s determination and generous investment, I was able to move to the city and study hard to reach my current position. The reason I was able to keep going without a break and give my all was not simply because I wanted to satisfy myself. Behind me were my family and parents who were eagerly waiting for me, and my father’s hard work to support me. Even after I started living on my own, I received regular packages from my parents in the countryside, and I was able to stay healthy with the side dishes and ingredients they sent me.
From my birth to my growth and development to the present, most of my life has been shaped by my family, so I have always been able to strive harder by remembering them. I am determined never to fall behind or give up. I have never had the luxury of wasting time, so I have always done my best and been able to devote myself to my work in the hope that my achievements will bring joy to my family.

Life philosophy

I want to live a life where I am not ashamed of my background. Many people from rural areas like me tend to gloss over or avoid talking about their hometowns, but I couldn’t understand that because I believe that the soil of my hometown nurtured me and allowed me to grow up to be who I am today. I always talked openly about my father’s job and my family circumstances. I believed that this was the right attitude to have, having grown up with the full support of my family.
In addition, my choice of career path was also motivated by a desire to make use of the experience I gained helping my father with his farming, and it was a choice made out of respect for my father’s work. I am proud of my origins and do not want to hide them in any way.

Reasons for applying and aspirations after joining the company

Growing up helping my father with his work, I learned about the richness of the land and the softness of the soil. I am not ashamed of my farming background. Rather, I decided to pursue a career in fertilizers so that I can use my experiences to build a secure future for myself. I wanted to help farmers who are striving to maximize the potential of the land and grow more abundant crops, and I felt that your company’s goal of continuing research without forgetting the warmth of the soil was similar to my own, so I decided to apply.
If I am given the opportunity to continue my research at your company, I will always try to apply various perspectives, not only from the standpoint of a researcher, but also from the perspective of farmers who actually use the results and apply them to the land. No matter how thorough the experiments are in the laboratory, I do not want to ignore the reality of farmers who actually use the results, sow crops, and breathe together with the land. My father is still working hard as a farmer, and out of my respect and desire to honor him, I want to do my best in development. I believe this is essential for my personal gratitude.
