How can I incorporate collaboration-oriented quality control work into my cover letter?

In this blog post, we will introduce ways to naturally incorporate your experience in interdepartmental collaboration and communication skills, which are important in quality control, into your cover letter.

Growth

“Living independently from an early age.”
I have lived independently since high school. When I was in high school, I attended a science high school that was far from home. The school was far away, but there was a limit to the number of students who could be accepted into the dormitory, so I was not selected every semester. So, I lived in a rented room near the school and sometimes lived with friends in a boarding house, and I got used to living alone.
At first, I was used to living at home, so I thought that living with friends or living alone would be scary. However, once I tried it, I found that living alone was fun and liberating in its own way. I enjoyed meeting new roommates and making new friends, and I was able to establish my own lifestyle by cooking for myself. So, while living alone, I improved my cooking skills, developed new hobbies, and started exercising, which I had never done before. In particular, I learned how to bake, which greatly improved my cooking skills.
In college, I majored in chemical engineering and studied hard to pursue a career in the pharmaceutical field. My college was far from home, so I moved out again. While living alone, I continued my hobby of cooking and even obtained a baking license. I also formed a community with my classmates at home and got together with my club friends to do research and work on assignments. From high school to college and now as a working adult, I have become accustomed to living independently on my own.

Strengths and weaknesses

“I will show you the power of hard work.”
My personality can be summed up in one word: hardworking. No matter what situation I find myself in, I first confirm my goal, then look for ways to achieve it efficiently, and once I find a way, I work hard to achieve it. Effort alone does not always lead to quick results, but the act of trying hard is viewed positively within an organization. It makes a good impression on those around you and has a positive influence on them. That is why I believe in the positive power of effort and always strive to do my best.
On the other hand, I am very organized. I always keep my desk clean and try to put things in their proper places. I even start every morning by cleaning my desk before I begin work. Being organized allows me to concentrate better and work more efficiently. However, many people do not practice these simple habits. I practice organization and tidiness not only at work but also at home to maximize efficiency, and I spend a lot of time cleaning and maintaining my home. This way, when I have work to do at home, I can get a lot done in a short amount of time.
The downside is that I tend to live too neatly and place too much importance on hygiene. Some of my friends have even asked me if I have OCD. Of course, I’m not so neat that it can be called OCD or obsessive-compulsive disorder. However, I am aware that my habits can sometimes cause discomfort to those around me, so I make sure to tell them that these habits are for my own sake. And since they are habits for myself, I never force them on others. Even if someone in the same living space is less hygienic than me, I don’t point it out or force them to change.

Special skills

“I worked as a neighborhood patrol officer.”
When I was in college, I had a girlfriend and realized that it was very dangerous for women to walk home alone at night. So I decided that I wanted to work as a security guard to help keep society safe. From then on, I applied to the local police station and started volunteering, working as a patrol officer and taking responsibility for people’s safety on their way home. There were many college students working as police officers, including myself, and we worked together to protect the area around the university.
Working as a patrol officer only required about two hours of my time in the evening. I realized that there weren’t many other activities where I could contribute to society in such a meaningful way by investing just two hours of my time. So, I continued doing this even after graduating from college, and recently I changed the scope of my activities while continuing to patrol the neighborhood. These days, rather than preventing safety accidents, I am more involved in preventing and monitoring illegal dumping. There are many cases of illegal dumping on utility poles and streets these days, and I am seeing firsthand how preventing this is improving many issues in the community.

Reason for applying

“Consistent work experience at a pharmaceutical company”
I applied to your company’s quality control department because I have been working at a pharmaceutical company since graduating with a degree in chemical engineering. I was in charge of pharmaceutical production, manufacturing, and reagents. Therefore, I have sufficient knowledge of raw material testing methods and equipment operation, which are necessary for production work. I believe that those who perform quality control tasks must have sufficient information and knowledge about reagent manufacturing. This is because manufacturing and quality control are not completely separate tasks.
Therefore, based on my previous experience in manufacturing and formulation, I have established a long-term plan to grow as a quality control expert at your company. At my previous company, quality control was a secondary task. I was not in charge of the entire process, so although I have knowledge of the work procedures and progress, I was not in a position of responsibility. Therefore, I am applying to your company because I would like to take on a position of responsibility and overall management of the work. My long-term plan is to grow steadily in this field and become a quality control expert.

Aspirations after joining the company

“I will demonstrate my professional capabilities in the quality control department.”
Quality control in the pharmaceutical industry involves basic procedures such as verification, certification, and grading. These procedures are based on established standards, so it is essential to obtain the relevant qualifications. I have obtained professional qualifications in quality control, and while preparing for the exams, I learned about the types of tests and gathered information on how to use the equipment. I will apply this specialized knowledge to perform my duties professionally. Above all, I will strive to maintain constant communication with my colleagues in the same department, placing great importance on cooperation.
Teamwork is extremely important in the quality control department. Although we all perform the same duties on an equal footing, we are often assigned to different areas or products. Therefore, it is important for those in charge of specific areas and those in charge of specific pharmaceutical products to cooperate with each other in their work. If there are significant differences in the work capabilities of the persons in charge of each product and communication between them is poor, there will be problems in the final processing of the work. Therefore, I plan to take on the role of a person in charge of overall coordination of such cooperation and communication. As a career employee, I will demonstrate my professional capabilities to promote cooperation among team members and ensure that the final results are problem-free.
