How can you emphasize your CAD certification and internship experience in the field of design?

In this blog post, we will look at how you can connect your CAD certification and design internship experience to your professionalism and practical skills in your cover letter.

Growth

“A dependable older brother”
My parents both worked, so when they were not home, I took care of my younger sibling and fulfilled my responsibilities as the eldest child. I felt sorry for my mother, who came home from work and had to do housework without a break, so I always did the dishes after eating dinner with my sibling. Seeing me do this, my sibling also grew up to be kind and would offer to do the dishes first.
I knew that my parents worked hard for us, so I always acted responsibly and tried to help them. Because of this, my friends said that I was more mature and reliable than other kids my age.
Throughout middle school and high school, I practiced the sincerity and consideration I learned from my parents at every important moment. I opened my heart to my friends and approached them first, and I also spoke to friends who were left out in class. I was the most sincere student in school and was always the first to open the classroom door. My parents’ teachings were the foundation that allowed me to grow up properly.

Strengths and weaknesses

“Early bird”
I am sincere and diligent. During my school days, I was always the first student to arrive at school. I liked to arrive early and prepare for the day’s classes in the quiet classroom. Even though I went to school early, I was so thorough that I never forgot my textbooks or other school supplies.
I am also thorough in following rules and principles. Flexibility is an important virtue, but I believe that following the rules is a priority when it comes to work. I am good at separating work and personal life. In human relationships, I tend to act in a way that puts me at a slight disadvantage, but when working on group projects that affect many people or preparing for important events, I strictly adhere to the rules. When working at the company, I will distinguish between work and personal matters and prioritize public order in my work.
I always try to be humble and considerate of others. People have a desire to be recognized, so everyone is happy when they receive praise and wants to show off their accomplishments. Since I was a child, I enjoyed the feeling of pride when I was praised for being responsible and reliable. When that happened, my parents always advised me to remain humble. I always try to be humble, believing that the more you achieve, the more you should be humble, as this will make your achievements shine.

School days and work skills

“An unfamiliar field of study became my favorite.”
When I was in my third year of high school, I first heard the term “control and measurement engineering,” but I had no idea what it was. Through career counseling with my teacher, I learned that it was a field of study that focused on cutting-edge automatic control technology that applies electrical, electronic, and computer technologies, which are the foundations of modern industry. I was particularly attracted to the idea of learning about mechatronics, which is a multidisciplinary field, so I decided to major in control and measurement engineering.
As I took more advanced classes in my major, I participated in PLC programming and digital control experiments, and gradually became more interested in my studies. I studied how to utilize system automation using sequence control, and learned control design and debugging techniques, which allowed me to see how control automation technology is used in various fields.
I obtained a CAD program certification in college and gained various design experience through an internship at an architectural design office to improve my design skills and learn how to use CAD programs in practice. Although the internship was only for one month, it was a valuable experience to see how employees work in the field.

Success Experience

I loved my major so much during college that I couldn’t take my eyes off it. I thought it was a waste of time to spend time on club activities or part-time jobs, and that it would be more beneficial for me to study harder and get a scholarship. Nevertheless, the thing I really wanted to do during college was the National Land Expedition. I really wanted to leave home for three weeks during the hot summer and walk across Korea to Imjingak. I knew it would be difficult, but my parents supported me, saying it was a challenge worth trying.
I participated in the National Trek, walking about 600 km from Busan to Imjingak. Not all roads were open. There were places where we couldn’t walk on the road, and we had to take a longer route to get through tunnels that were difficult to walk through. There were moments when I wanted to give up due to indescribable physical and mental pain, but I had to fight and overcome myself every time. I walked for 20 nights and 21 days, walking for about an hour and resting for 10 to 15 minutes. I got blisters, my knees hurt, and when it rained, it was twice as hard. However, when I overcame all that pain and arrived at Imjingak, I experienced such intense joy that I couldn’t help but shed tears.

Life philosophy

“Only those who challenge themselves can become the protagonist.”
There is a saying that if you wish for something badly enough, it will come true, but I don’t believe that. You can’t achieve anything just by wishing for it. I believe that if you want something, you have to act on it with the same intensity as your desire in order to achieve it.
I believe that anyone who has dreams and hopes must take on challenges to achieve what they want in order to become the protagonist of their own life.

Reasons for applying and aspirations

Hansol EM is a company that knows the paper plant and conservation business best, and it is also a global leader in creating the foundation for the entire industry with its unique know-how in the environmental energy business. I believe that having the opportunity to work at your company is a source of pride. I applied to your company because I want to become a professional engineer working on the global stage.
While majoring in control and measurement engineering at university, I acquired the ability to analyze automation systems and design and debugging skills. I am proficient in CAD programs. I believe that the most important thing in the design process of a production plant is the ability to design and analyze systems with consideration for the optimal performance and productivity improvement of dynamic systems.
As an engineer who possesses and further develops these skills, I will become a design engineer who plays a key role in your company’s global business as a human resource who increases my own market value.
