How can you convey customer-centric sincerity in your cover letter for a bank PB position?

In this blog post, we will look at how to write a compelling self-introduction letter for a bank PB position based on a customer-oriented attitude and warm communication skills.

Growth

“Why is my family so poor?” Growing up, I was told by my mother that it was better to give up on my dreams because our family couldn’t afford anything, so I learned to expect nothing from life. My family lived on my father’s salary and managed to make ends meet, but we had no debt and could not afford anything beyond the bare necessities, so we had to be very careful with our spending. When other children boasted about going on overseas trips, eating out often, or even ordering chicken or pizza once a week, I could only suck my thumb and envy them. No matter how much I begged my mother, she would usually respond with, “That’s not possible with our financial situation.”
Looking back, even though we could have afforded those small luxuries, my mother chose to live frugally, thinking about the countless investments she would have to make to raise me. My mother was a sincere person who did not indulge in luxury or unnecessary desires, and she was like a squirrel gathering chestnuts and acorns in preparation for winter. She always reminded me of the saying, “Little strokes fell big oaks.” I had no idea that my mother was constantly trying to save money by investing my father’s salary in funds and bonds. Whenever my parents talked about the bank and mentioned its name, I felt a little sad, thinking that they were worried about our family’s financial situation. Even if I wanted to earn a lot of money someday and repay my parents, it was a distant dream for me as a child. Instead, I motivated myself to study hard and repay them with scholarships.

School life

When I was young, I was sad and resentful about my family’s financial difficulties and lack of wealth, but as I grew older, I realized that I needed to contribute to my family, so I worked hard to maintain good grades without getting into trouble. During puberty, I wanted to let out my frustrations and wander aimlessly, but I remember thinking that I couldn’t do that because of the wasted time and my parents’ sacrifices. I also became keenly aware of the tuition fees I would have to pay when I entered university, and I felt that I had to work harder than anyone else to justify the financial burden I was placing on my parents.
It was around that time that I became seriously interested in banking. My vague desire to “make a lot of money so I can give my parents a comfortable life” and “work at a bank where I can handle money” led me to research related majors at university. At first, I considered lowering my target university to secure a stable scholarship, but when my mother told me not to worry about tuition fees and to go ahead with my studies because she had worked hard to save money for this moment, I couldn’t believe my ears. While I was lamenting my family situation and feeling sorry for my parents, thinking that the only way out was to save money, my mother had been steadily setting aside a portion of my father’s salary and working hard on a long-term project to secure the tuition fees for my entire college education.

Strengths and weaknesses

If I have a handicap, I am motivated to work harder to fill in the gaps. Growing up, I felt pressure from my family’s financial situation, which made me work harder than others and maintain high grades. As a result, when I find myself in a disadvantageous or unfavorable situation, I become even more determined to succeed. This has sometimes led me to push myself into situations where I am unable to achieve as much as others. Setting extremely high goals and imposing restrictions on myself have become catalysts that motivate me to work harder. Setting extreme conditions that further motivate me continues to be the driving force behind my ability to achieve results in a short period of time.
Regarding my personality, there was a view that I needed to improve my ability to achieve explosive results in a short period of time, as well as my ability to perform above average in the long term. When cooking, many people tend to boil food over high heat, but it is also common to simmer food over low heat to bring out the flavor and maintain consistency. Taking this advice to heart, I strive to refine myself.

Life philosophy

A less favorable environment than others is not an excuse to avoid effort. In the past, when my mother had a goal of saving money little by little through investments in addition to her savings and simple interest, I was just a young child who had just entered elementary school. With no visible signs of what the future held, such as whether I would go to college or where I would go if I did, my mother always believed that she needed sufficient time to prepare for a long-term project to pay for her son’s tuition by minimizing loans and living frugally.
The money my mother set aside every month from my father’s salary seemed insignificant to people who specialized in stocks and investments, but through trial and error, she worked hard for a long time to ensure that we were always in the black. For over a decade, my mother prepared for my future with a level of patience that most people would not even dare to attempt. Her persistence was the driving force that enabled me to attend university without any problems, and it inspired me to live a life like hers, never giving up.

Motivation for applying and aspirations after joining the company

When I was a child, even though we were not well off, my mother saved money little by little, like acorns, and encouraged me to try my hand at financial management. Her efforts were made possible by the existence of your company. When my mother first became interested in investing and funds and visited several banks for consultation, she was so impressed by your company’s friendly service and proactive recommendation of customized services tailored to her circumstances that she has remained a customer ever since. My mother’s evaluation motivated me to help customers in similar circumstances, and I decided to apply for a position at your company.
In the past, my mother was passionate about financial management, but the capital she had to back it up was so modest that I wondered if it would be enough. With a salary and savings that would have made most people feel helpless and give up, thinking, “No matter how hard I try, I’ll never get anywhere,” my mother was able to support my college tuition, proving that “little by little, you can achieve a lot.” I want to help our many small but powerful customers, who are like ants, by recommending products that will give them results like this and helping them with financing.
