Cooperative individuals who participate diligently in group projects are more likely to achieve better results by working together. On the other hand, groups composed of individuals who repeatedly free-ride will struggle to progress. Applying this to the relationship between altruistic and selfish people, altruistic individuals form positive communities through cooperation, while selfish individuals are increasingly likely to lose social trust and become isolated.
