In this blog post, we will look at how job seekers applying for positions in the mobile industry can effectively highlight their unique competitive advantages in their cover letters.
Growth
“Confidence in my abilities and gratitude for even the smallest things”
I grew up with my mother after my parents divorced. My mother raised me with a strong emphasis on manners so that I would not be hurt by being called a fatherless child. She taught me to always greet strangers politely in the elevator, even if they were adults I did not know well, assuming that they were neighbors living in the same apartment building. Thanks to this, I grew up being praised by my neighbors for being cheerful and well-mannered.
My mother, who works as a nursing care worker, often told me that even though her job is physically demanding, she enjoys it. She is always busy and never slacks off, so at first glance she looks like a frail woman, but she is a strong woman with a strong will and a veteran nursing care worker. Not only did she contribute to society by helping others, but she also shared what she had with her neighbors in her daily life. When it was hot, she would share ice cream with the neighbors, and when it was cold, she would give them warm clothes. I grew up watching my mother share whatever she had with others, and I learned to share even small things with my friends.
Through my mother, I learned to be grateful in any situation and to approach everything with sincerity, believing that no matter how difficult the task, if I approach it with confidence, I can do it.
Whenever I find myself in an unfamiliar environment or start something new, I always remind myself that I can do it, and I take on the challenge with confidence. Through experience, I have learned that if you take on a challenge with confidence, even if you fail, you will have the strength and courage to try again.
With a cheerful and confident attitude and good manners, I got along well with my friends at school. Although my best friends from elementary school went to different junior high schools, we are still in touch and have a strong friendship. I value the connections I have made, and my childhood friends are still a strong network for me today.
Strengths and weaknesses
“Positive and confident person”
My biggest strengths are my confidence and positive attitude. I am grateful to my parents for creating an environment where I could always live with confidence, even in a modest setting. My confidence has always brought positive results, whether I was doing something or meeting people. I believe that confidence is the greatest asset in building relationships with others, because people trust those who believe in themselves.
I am very reliable and responsible. I consider setting goals for myself to be a promise to myself, and I strive to fulfill my duties at work and in my relationships with others with the same commitment. I always fulfill my responsibilities with the mindset that I will keep my promises, whether they are made in my heart or with words, so people who have worked with me are satisfied with my thorough work.
I am cautious when making important decisions at work. I can handle personal matters on my own, but I am more cautious when it comes to decisions made in the workplace because they can affect the company, my colleagues, and the entire organization. I think a lot about the results, so people around me may find me frustrating at times. I strive to make quick decisions, but I also try to make accurate decisions by fully considering the risks involved in each situation. I believe it is better to be cautious than to rush into a decision and make a mistake, but I also work to compensate for my shortcomings so that others do not feel uncomfortable.
College life and social activities
“Club activities and volunteer work”
After entering university, I joined a cultural heritage club to gain a variety of experiences. The club was not just a simple travel club, but a more active cultural heritage exploration and protection club that sought out cultural properties in need of urgent protection, conducted cleanup activities to improve the surrounding environment, and made proposals to local governments regarding cultural property protection.
Through club activities, I was able to form a wide range of relationships with seniors from various departments, and it also gave me an opportunity to learn about cultural properties and history that I had not been aware of before.
As a psychology major, I volunteered at a developmental psychology treatment center during my fourth year of college. I helped treat children with various disabilities by teaching them music. It wasn’t easy because they had trouble concentrating and were easily distracted, but I was able to see them gradually open up as I approached them with love.
We also held performances for the parents, which were very well received. We also formed a music ensemble and prepared a concert in which all the children participated, playing simple instruments. The children, who had been distracted, concentrated on their instruments and gradually improved their playing skills. We didn’t have enough time to practice before the concert with the parents, so we couldn’t get enough breath, but it was really rewarding to see the children happy and changing as they played a song from beginning to end.
Career
“Social experience and self-development”
Through volunteer work during college, I got a job doing administrative support at a psychological treatment center for people with developmental disabilities. Since I had a good understanding of psychological treatment, I was able to understand the needs of the psychologists and support them in their work. I was also in charge of collecting and providing materials needed for research projects conducted at the center.
Since it is difficult to acquire the skills necessary for psychological counseling through undergraduate studies alone, I received various training to develop my skills while working. I attended a training center in the evenings after work and studied on weekends. During my two years at the institute, I obtained a Level 2 Career Counselor and Lifelong Educator certification.
