Self-introduction letter items – Personality (diligence/effort)

In this blog post, we will introduce examples of personality-related sentences that effectively express diligence and effort in a self-introduction letter.

Study diligently and consistently

I don’t think I’m very smart. However, I am diligent and persistent. I don’t give up easily, and once I start something, I try to see it through to the end. Graduating from a technical college was a big deal for me. In fact, when I told my parents that I wanted to go to a technical college, they were against it. They said that they couldn’t afford the tuition fees due to financial difficulties and that I should just get a job and help support the family. However, I wanted to study a little more and become a professional, so I persuaded my parents and told them that I would finish my studies on my own. In order to graduate from technical college, I worked hard and started receiving a scholarship. In addition to the scholarship, I worked part-time and was able to contribute a little to my parents’ living expenses every month. My parents still tell me how proud they are of me when they think back on that time. As you can see, I am a sincere and persistent person.
However, the downside is that I am often misunderstood as a quiet person. Because I am quiet, people sometimes think that I am silent or blunt. That is why I practice smiling every morning and try to speak to people more often. Perhaps because of my efforts, I have always gotten along well with people wherever I go.

A patient and determined personality

I am a patient and determined person who works hard to achieve my goals. I believe that this trait will be an advantage in my work in quality management. I am a person who sticks to the basics and values understanding principles. Therefore, I believe that I have the qualities necessary to perform quality management work, which requires careful adherence to basic rules. In addition, I believe that my calm and unhurried personality is essential for work that requires meticulous work. I am a person who reflects on myself and uses that reflection as a driving force for growth. Even if unexpected situations arise in the process of achieving my goals, I do not panic. Instead, I check again to see if there were any mistakes, and then I make corrections and try again. Through this process, I feel that I am growing one step at a time. I am the type of person who strives to gain confidence in myself by doing my best in everything I do. This is because I believe that I must work hard enough to satisfy myself so that I will have no regrets or second thoughts. I am a responsible person who never gives up, as I always strive to complete the tasks assigned to me through constant effort. Based on this personality, I will strive to become a valuable asset to your company through continuous self-improvement.
As someone who pursues perfection, I am ambitious to do the work entrusted to me perfectly. This ambition is an advantage in that I am considered reliable for my responsible work, but when it becomes excessive, it can be stressful for me. I also think it can be tiring for my colleagues. I try not to be overly ambitious, remembering that anything excessive is not good. I will maximize the advantages of my desire to do my work perfectly and become a talented employee.

I am slow but steady

I am not good at improvising or quick thinking. I tend to be somewhat timid, approaching new tasks with caution and care. I am well aware that this personality trait makes it difficult for me to make a strong impression early on in my work. However, I believe that this cautiousness and desire to take a second look and understand things before starting something new are my strengths and weapons that allow me to predict and prepare for the outcome of my work and decisions.
I believe that the human mind has great power. This is because I believe that if you have a clear goal and work hard with the belief that you will succeed, you will somehow achieve results that are close to your goal. Of course, I sometimes face difficulties and feel frustrated, but whenever that happens, I look back on the things I am grateful for and my small achievements, and I recharge my strength to achieve my goals. It is said that outstanding talent is a gift from heaven, but achievement through effort is up to the individual. I want to use this belief as the driving force in my daily life and continue to work toward my goals slowly but surely, without giving up.

Hardworking personality

I have a hardworking personality. Growing up as the eldest of three siblings, I had to work hard to take care of my younger siblings. Once I finished one task, another problem would arise, so I always had to be alert and ready to move quickly. I think this has influenced my ability to get things done quickly. I am a person who makes plans and pushes forward to achieve them, which allows me to work quickly and focus on completing tasks perfectly. My diligent personality is also very helpful in developing my abilities. I make good use of my mornings, and since high school, I have started every day at 5 a.m. and gone to bed at midnight. I manage my time systematically outside of sleep, striving not to waste a single minute. I believe this is why I was able to master English, Japanese, and Chinese and improve my computer skills during my college years.
I am meticulous. I take responsibility for my work and am sincere in my efforts, checking my work several times to ensure that there are no mistakes. My pursuit of perfection is an advantage in getting things done neatly, but sometimes it can be tiring for those around me. When we divided household chores, I was very strict with my younger siblings because I didn’t trust them at first. They would complain to me about being given responsibility while I was meddling in their work. I will keep this in mind and strive to maximize the advantages of my thoroughness.

Striving to work harder than others

I am a person who always strives to work harder than others. Perhaps because my passion began with a desire to prove that I am different, I am determined not to remain at the same level as others. I have always worked hard, never letting my guard down, and pushing myself to achieve a level of excellence that sets me apart from others. As a result, I always got top grades in school and was known for my impeccable self-management, earning a reputation as someone who was flawless.
Some people said that I was like a needle that would bounce back even if you pricked it, but I took that as a compliment for my perfectionism and accepted it positively. This is because even though I was meticulous in my public life, I was not strict with those around me in my private life. Rather, I thought that my image could give the impression that I was colder than I really was, so I made a conscious effort to be friendly and trustworthy to those around me.

A person who hones their skills with perseverance and sincerity

I am a person who always hones my skills with perseverance and sincerity. Rather than rushing to achieve results, I prefer to take my time and produce well-thought-out results. This is because I believe that giving my best from start to finish and steadily refining my work will ultimately contribute greatly to my own achievements. Before starting a project, I take sufficient time to think and prepare, and even while working, I carefully review my work with a keen eye and proceed cautiously.
While people who focus on speed value lightness, I always strive to show that my work is worth the time spent by producing results with a sense of weight and substance. At one point, some people looked at me with pity, saying that I would inevitably be left behind in a world that pursued speed, but as a result of my efforts being supported by a company and customers that shared my beliefs, I was able to clearly demonstrate my strengths through consistent results. I don’t think there is anything wrong with valuing speed, but I believe that diversity enriches the world, so I hope to continue working with people who share my beliefs and steadily build on my strengths.

Sincerity is the key to overcoming shortcomings!

The greatest strength of my personality is my sincerity. No matter how difficult it is, no matter how mentally or physically exhausted I am, I always work steadily and never break my promises. When I was in college, I once had two part-time jobs and worked so hard studying for exams that I ended up staying up all night. My heart was pounding, and I couldn’t get up and go to work. However, I went to work anyway and kept my promise even if it meant collapsing at work. This is because I knew how hard it was for my father when he used to run a store and one of his employees was sick and couldn’t come to work, leaving him to do all the work by himself. So, even though I didn’t know much, I went to work every day and tried my best to keep my promises. Also, when I first started working in an office, there was a lot I didn’t know. I was nervous because I didn’t know anything, and I was even told, “You’re a college graduate, and this is all you can do?” Still, I didn’t quit or give up. I came in on weekends to finish my work, and I came in early and stayed late to learn my job diligently. Eventually, I was assigned to train new employees, and I was the first to get a raise. What I learned from this experience is that while aptitude is important, effort is also important. I believe that my almost reckless dedication will enable me to learn any job well.
The downside of my personality is that I tend to try to do everything on my own. I don’t ask for help from those around me and tend to take on everything myself so as not to bother others. As a result, I learn quickly and become proficient in my work, but I tend to struggle when I have a lot of work to do. From now on, I will strive to improve my ability to work with others, recognizing that collaboration is also a skill.

A person who works diligently and consistently to achieve results

I am the type of person who does not procrastinate on tasks assigned to me, but rather works steadily and diligently to achieve results. No matter how tired or busy I am, I never forget to wash my face and take care of myself, and I never skip exercise. Watching my mother, who always carried herself with dignity even when faced with difficult tasks, I realized the importance of daily habits. Seeing my mother overcome the years, people around her would say, “You can’t help your looks and figure,” but I was able to realize how amazing her passion was by watching her strict habits up close. Saying that she had a different starting point or that her talent was innate could not explain all the years of effort she had put in.
Time is something that humans must fight against throughout their lives. It is easy to take it for granted and let it slip away, thinking that we have been given too much, but I have been aware of this fact since I was a child, and I have always tried to fight against it. Just as if you don’t clean your room every day, the dust will accumulate and become difficult to clean up all at once, I knew that in everything in life, you cannot beat someone who does things “diligently every day.”

I am sincere, patient, and persistent

When I was a university student, I had the same part-time job for four years. Usually, university students tend to do various short-term jobs to gain social experience. However, I started working part-time as a general manager at a gosiwon (a type of lodging for students) when I was a freshman, and I continued to do so. I didn’t have any particular vision for this job, but I started doing it to earn money for tuition, and it suited me well, so I continued. In fact, I believe that finding a job that suits you is closely related to your personal patience.
Sometimes I see people who say that a certain field does not suit them and frequently change jobs. I’m sure they have their own philosophies on life, but I find meaning in working steadily at one place, and I think it’s important to be patient and work hard unless there is a specific reason to try something else. I believe that working steadily for six months or a year, even if the work is small, is what it means to be sincere, and only then can you say that you have “worked hard.”
While working part-time as a general affairs assistant at a gosiwwon, I went to work at the same time every day, recorded the accounts, and went home. I never made a mistake in my work. When I had to be absent, I always notified my supervisor the day before and found a replacement in advance. I thought it was more difficult to make mistakes than to avoid them. Considering that it was just my normal work, I didn’t think there were any rules that I had to follow, but I ended up following the rules as a matter of course. I will become a talented employee at your company who demonstrates this kind of sincerity and consistent effort, and I will show that I can maintain my position for a long time.

A person who steadily achieves their goals

When I find something that interests me, I am the type of person who can sit down and spend a lot of time on it. I often get so absorbed in something that I forget to eat or even go to the bathroom. Perhaps in order to fully focus my energy on one thing, I block out all other senses, and when I am deeply immersed in something, I often find myself coming to my senses only after it has become completely dark. Some people were amazed at my persistent passion, wondering how I could stick to one thing without getting bored, but I couldn’t explain it properly because it wasn’t something I was doing with any artificial effort or motivation. It was as if a switch in my body was turned off, and I fell into a state of limbo.
Some people said that while this habit of mine was good for achieving short-term results, it could cause problems in a work environment where I needed to pay close attention to what others were saying and to external circumstances. Rather than cutting off all external connections and holing up in a cave, it is much better to keep a little bit of communication open, such as a phone line, and focus on your work so that you can prevent unexpected situations and respond quickly.
