In this blog post, I will share my experiences and mindset as I prepared for a career in banking, as well as my heartfelt self-introduction letter.
My growth
Usually, people prefer famous or influential figures as mentors, but my mentor is my mother. My mother always prioritized my decisions and provided me with both financial and emotional support to help me achieve my goals. My family, who always believed in and supported my mother, also taught me many things. As a result, I grew up in a harmonious family with a bright and cheerful personality. I believe that my personality is the driving force behind my ability to maintain lasting relationships with the people I meet. This is my greatest asset, and it will enable me to attract customers to ○○ Savings Bank.
School days
I believe that my school days were a time when my personality blossomed. I was class president or vice president every year without fail. Of course, it wasn’t because I was talented or came from a wealthy family, but because my friends and teachers believed in me and recommended me for these positions. Of course, I went through a period of wandering, but I entered college and immediately enlisted in the military, where I realized how precious my parents’ love and the support of those around me were. After leaving the military, it was difficult to do well in my studies, interpersonal relationships, and part-time job all at the same time, but my sincere efforts earned me the trust of those around me. I am sure that I will face many difficult situations in my career, but I want to solve problems with a grateful heart and become a person who contributes to the organization.
Strengths and weaknesses
I am an honest man who, if I find a wallet on the street, will put it in a mailbox without even opening it. You may think this is natural, but I don’t. I believe that honesty, though small, is the most important thing, and that honesty comes from not coveting what belongs to others. This is my strength, which is basic but different from others.
On the other hand, my weakness is that I am so honest that I cannot overlook dishonesty in others. Therefore, I have found a solution after much thought on how to coexist with others while maintaining my strength of honesty. That solution is the ability to speak without offending others. Through this ability, I have overcome my weakness.
Work experience (or experience that demonstrates your work abilities)
I joined XX and worked my way up from a contract employee to a permanent employee, which I consider to be my most significant career achievement. My practical experience at a bank and various external assignments have helped me develop the basic qualities required of a bank employee, and I am particularly skilled at working at a bank counter. What stands out in my memory is when a customer cursed at me and said that I wasn’t doing my job quickly enough, but I was able to handle the situation with my unique wit, and my senior praised me for doing a great job. Based on this experience, I would like to contribute greatly to the development of your company.
Reason for applying and aspirations
I have experience working at a tax office. Although my case is a bit unusual, I learned about the flow and importance of physical goods through registration and reporting work, and I decided to enter the financial sector to gain a better understanding of the bigger picture. Based on my banking experience, I decided to apply for a position at a bank to take on more challenging work.
If I am hired, I will strive to learn all the practical skills with a willingness to learn. I will also strive to provide more diverse services to customers based on my knowledge of various financial products. Of course, I will do my best to be a bank employee who does the work assigned to me. Furthermore, I will constantly strive to become a financial partner of XX Savings Bank that customers can trust.
