In this blog post, we will explore what “traces of choices” insurance company recruiters look for in cover letters and how you can reveal them.
Growth
As a child, I was very interested in dramas and movies that showed how the choices we make today greatly affect our future. Life has many turning points, and each person has two contrasting paths laid out by fate. Thinking about the possibility that the future could take two completely different directions depending on which path you choose, I tended to be a little more cautious in my actions. Even if it’s not as huge as the butterfly effect, when I think about how the choices I make today could influence each other and change the world, I feel like I have endless possibilities. Some people say that no matter what path we take, we’re just puppets who can’t escape our destiny.
Through experiences such as survival books, where you choose options like in a psychological test to determine the ending of the story, and dating simulation games, where the outcome is determined by the choices of dialogue and actions, I gradually began to imagine a vague story of how my choices today would shape my future. Most of the connections were absurd and far-fetched, but I found it exciting to create relationships where my small choices could cause me to miss out on my destined partner, or where the opportunity of a lifetime came about because of a casual choice I made in the past. It was like creating a new worldview. It also had the effect of making me act more calmly.
School life
As the world around me gradually expanded, I enjoyed trying to predict the future by assigning causes and destinies not only to my own choices but also to the actions of my friends. Children who were immersed in romantic stories and fairy tales loved stories with foreshadowing and plot twists, like internet novels, where they would end up with a prince charming. Being a very realistic person, I liked stories with simple endings, such as “But nothing happened,” but when I saw my friends enjoying stories in which, for example, an eraser that was accidentally dropped ended up in the hands of an unknown boy, I felt a sense of pride for some reason. It was because I felt as if my belief in fate had been proven right.
However, I knew that a happy ending based purely on chance, without any effort, was a very romantic and unrealistic story, so I did my best not to get carried away by the imagination of dramas and movies and accept my reality as it was. I was convinced that when the pieces of my puzzle finally fell into place, opportunities would open up before me, and that belief gave me the strength to keep going. This positive attitude allowed me to accept even days that felt uneventful as simple and boring, rather than days with no possibilities, and to see them as days full of possibilities. I often thought about how even days that felt like nothing happened could be important turning points that would lead to future events.
Strengths and weaknesses
I am a person who always does my best in everything I do and strives to live each day to the fullest. This is because I believe that every little bit of effort I put in today will help me reduce my workload tomorrow and allow me to focus on more enjoyable tasks. At first glance, my efforts may seem trivial and insignificant, but I always strive to accumulate my efforts little by little, like piling up sand, in order to achieve results that will allow me to be fully prepared for the future. Even if sand slips through your fingers, if you don’t realize how heavy it is, you won’t be able to recognize the value of the gold mixed in with it. I believe that there is no greater joy than gathering sand, which everyone considers worthless, building a foundation with it, and using it as a turning point to change your life.
I place great significance on even minor events and turning points, and I often reflect on whether I have neglected anything in my life. Some people argue that I am too strict with myself. However, I am the type of person who can only feel at ease when I have fulfilled my daily tasks to my satisfaction, so I have always done my best, and I want to continue to live up to expectations in the future.
Life philosophy
I believe that each person’s life is made special by their own mindset. Sometimes we feel that our lives are not as exciting or special as those we see in movies, and we become depressed, wondering why our lives are so boring. However, unless it is a dramatic story with a plot designed to move people, human life is bound to be ordinary and stable most of the time, except for a few moments.
It is only our own minds that can fundamentally change this and find the small differences and special turning points in our everyday lives. I am passionate about finding the hidden pictures in life, and I strive every day to train my eyes to look back on my life with a richer perspective.
Motivation for applying and aspirations after joining the company
I have always dreamed of making the best choices at various turning points in my life and improving my life as a result. Through my exploration of insurance and financial products, I realized how many different ways there are to prepare for the future. Among them, your company has focused on providing products that are optimized to meet the needs of each customer, rather than providing uniform services to everyone. I was very interested in your pursuit of a more optimized system that provides new designs tailored to the lives of each customer, so I decided to apply.
If I am given the opportunity to work at your company, I will do my best to help my customers make choices that will lead to a better future. There are many turning points in life, but not all choices are good ones. I believe that only when people use their discernment to draw up a roadmap that is right for their lives and make investments and choices that require sacrifice today from a long-term perspective can they secure happiness in the future. I believe that life is full of hidden elements of equivalent exchange that must be balanced, and that a stable future without sacrifice or preparation is almost impossible.
