Living with my grandparents, my house was always filled with laughter. My mother and grandmother are like sisters. My grandmother, who married at a young age and had five sons, always felt lonely surrounded by men, and she said she liked my mother from the moment she first saw her. My mother also missed her mother, who passed away early, so I think the two got along very well. When I tell people that my father felt left out because of how close my mother and grandmother were, they say I’m lying. When I hear that, I feel proud that I grew up in a family that was different from others. My grandparents are very cheerful and optimistic people, and I think that’s why the atmosphere at home is so harmonious. I think the reason why everyone can be confident and devoted to their work is because they actively give each other advice and support each other.
My grandparents are always young at heart. They enjoy learning new things and have recently become addicted to playing Go. It was originally my grandfather’s hobby, but my grandmother joined him later, and now they sometimes play Go all night long. I think that learning Go from my grandfather has given me the ability to read my opponent’s moves. I think Go is a highly psychological game. That’s what makes it so fun. There’s a thrill when you figure out your opponent’s next move. I grew up in a harmonious family, so I know very well that when everyone works together and cares for each other, everyone can be happy. I think the workplace is like a family. I believe that when everyone works together toward a common goal, the company will be successful. I will do my best with my family in mind.

 

Growth

I didn’t understand what my senior year homeroom teacher meant when he said, “You can achieve great results by sticking to the basics.” At the time, many of my friends were giving up on going to college, but my teacher emphasized the importance of learning the basics. I thought his advice was irrelevant to me, as I didn’t have time to learn the basics again. However, when he saw me struggling with my grades despite my efforts, he called me in and advised me to go back to the basics of English, which I found most difficult. Feeling his sincere advice, I went back to the beginning and started over from scratch. As I was in my senior year of high school, I focused on solving problems, and when I kept getting difficult questions wrong, I reviewed basic grammar and the concepts behind the questions I got wrong. At first, I was skeptical, but I gradually became familiar with the types of problems, which led to an improvement in my grades. It was a moment when I realized that sticking to the basics is the most important thing. I realized that this applies not only to my studies but also to my life in general. I came to believe that there are fundamentals in every situation, and I developed an attitude of sticking to the basics in all aspects of my life.
I believe that sincerity is the foundation of everyday life. I believe that a sincere attitude is the basis for doing everything to the best of one’s ability. Therefore, I live my life with sincerity and do my best in everything I do. I am confident that I will be highly valued as a sincere employee at your company.

 

Strengths and weaknesses

I am a neat person. I don’t like to pile up work, so I make plans step by step and finish everything neatly within the allotted time. This is not as easy as it sounds. It took me many years of trial and error to learn how to divide my work into small tasks and carry them out according to my schedule. There were very few days when I was able to proceed according to my schedule. So, I made sure to leave a little extra time each day. That way, if I couldn’t finish what I had to do that day, I could use the extra time to finish my work. Through these efforts, I have become a more organized person.
I am good at organizing and tidying up. I believe that a pleasant and clean work environment maximizes efficiency. That is why I always try to create a pleasant atmosphere. Even when I was working part-time, I would arrive early and start by airing out the room and tidying up before starting work. My boss, who was puzzled at first, came to appreciate my consistency. In fact, working in a clean and tidy environment cleared my head and allowed me to concentrate more on my work. I took the initiative without being told. If it is good for everyone, I am willing to do it.
I am a perfectionist. Both in my personal and professional life, I strive for perfection. My perfectionism at work has greatly helped me to be recognized as a good worker. However, I realized that it also gave me the image of being unapproachable. In reality, this is not the case, but based on rumors, some people thought that I was overly perfectionist. I believe that perfection can be achieved through thorough self-management. I am a person who is true to my emotions. I am confident that such misunderstandings will naturally disappear once people get to know me.

 

Passionate experience in achieving goals

I have experience participating in an architectural design competition. With only two weeks left until the deadline, I had to decide whether to take on the challenge. I had no plans for a design, and I wondered if it was even possible to create a model, so I consulted with my club members. Everyone agreed that we should prepare for such a big competition hosted by ○○, and since we had decided to participate at the last minute, we agreed to put all our passion into it. However, we encountered difficulties from the very beginning of the process of coming up with ideas for the competition. This was because there were differing opinions on the direction of the design. One friend who had analyzed previous winning entries insisted that going in that direction would be advantageous for winning, while I argued that creating a design with our own unique style would make us more competitive. The team was on the verge of splitting up, but I reminded everyone of our common goal, and in the end, we decided to proceed with a design that incorporated both opinions. Having faced a crisis once, we made sure to communicate more closely to avoid conflicts, and we finished the project just one day before the deadline, just like in a drama. Through this experience, I realized the importance of doing my best without hesitation, and I was reminded that cooperation among team members leads to success.

As an architect, I have always wanted to contribute to building structures that bring happiness to everyone who uses them.
