Is there a secret to writing a good sales job application letter?

In this blog post, we will introduce key points and strategies for writing a compelling sales job application letter.

Growth

Although I felt sad when I was young because my parents both worked, I think it had a big influence on who I am today. My parents worked all day and were tired, but they still paid a lot of attention to me. I didn’t want to worry my parents, so I grew up with a good attitude, doing what I had to do before they asked me to. My parents were very supportive of my decisions, and I believe that their support helped me become a responsible person. When I had to make a decision, I would think carefully about what was the right thing to do, and my parents always supported me in my decisions. With their trust in me, I was able to grow up with confidence. My older brother, who always greeted me with a bright smile, believed that creating a cheerful family atmosphere was the most important thing. As the youngest child, I am ten years younger than my older brother, and I grew up receiving a lot of love not only from my parents but also from my brother. I believe this had a big influence on me growing up to be a positive person. I struggled a lot when I first started working after graduating from college. I had always thought that people were a great asset in life, but when I was betrayed by someone, I closed my heart. My older brother advised me to use this experience as an opportunity to grow. However, the wounds I had received from people were not easily erased. My parents told me that not everyone was like that and advised me to learn from this experience but not to lose my faith in people. I found it difficult to trust people, but I was able to regain my confidence through activities with the XX club. I was always on guard, but these activities allowed me to experience the trust and love that still exist in our society. I have been actively involved in this volunteer organization since my college days. I believe that there are many people in this world who are worth spending time with. With this in mind, I will strive to become an employee who contributes to growth and development through cooperation with my colleagues in my social life.

School days

After failing to get into college, I had the opportunity to mature further while studying to retake the exam. I had always pursued an ordinary life, so it was a difficult trial for me to be the only one among my friends who were all college students to be studying for the entrance exam again. I thought about entering society early, but I decided to try again so that I would have no regrets, and I started studying for the exam again. The ambiguity of my status was the most difficult thing to bear. My identity was shaken because I was neither a college student nor a high school student. However, I worked even harder because I started studying for the exam with the determination to do my best. I decided not to rely on my parents because it was my choice, so I got a part-time job. It was not easy to balance part-time work and schoolwork. I felt the words of poet Ryu Shi-hwa, “If only I had known then what I know now,” deeply, and at one point, I thought that if I had studied hard in high school, I would have been able to go to the university I wanted to attend. Determined not to have any more regrets, I devoted myself to my studies day and night. I didn’t want to burden my parents financially, so I attended a cram school while working part-time. Organizing my teachers’ lecture materials and having the opportunity to attend various lectures for free greatly helped me improve my learning ability. In addition, while assisting with cashier duties at the cram school’s administrative office, I became interested in business administration. My year of retaking the exam gave me a great deal of insight. I learned that everything happens at the right time and that if you don’t give up, the path will open up. Based on this realization, I would like to demonstrate my abilities at your company. I sincerely hope that you will give me the opportunity to grow.

Strengths and weaknesses

My parents believed that a harmonious family life is essential for success, so they always worked hard to keep our family together. I am eternally grateful to my parents for their immense love. Perhaps because I grew up in a harmonious family, I am sensitive and tend to consider others before myself. Thanks to this personality trait, I am always surrounded by people. As I grow older, I realize how much this trait benefits me in my life. With each passing year, I feel happier because I am surrounded by many people.
During my school days, I received good evaluations from my teachers for my consideration toward my friends. I think the biggest reason for this was that I listened carefully to others and actively empathized with them, so many of my friends felt comfortable talking to me.
As the president of my department during college, I worked hard to create an atmosphere of cooperation among my classmates. At the time, the atmosphere at school was selfish. After entering college, many of my classmates focused on various certification exams and job hunting rather than department activities, and there was an atmosphere where people did not participate in group activities. Seeing my classmates who were indifferent to department affairs, I believed that practical intellectuals were the true image of college students, so I promoted many activities to get my classmates interested in school. As we had many opportunities to get together, we were able to talk a lot, and I was able to actively demonstrate my strengths in listening to others and being considerate. This became a new way to build closer relationships with my classmates. Listening to my friends’ stories, I realized that the concerns of young people in our generation are all the same. When we got together and talked, the conversation inevitably turned to worries about the future and the uncertainty of finding employment. By creating a place where people could talk and share their concerns and worries, I was able to build closer relationships and boost self-esteem, which was very well received by my classmates.

Career (Experience)

I started working at XX on the recommendation of my academic advisor. It was a research institute that aimed to provide practical recommendations for the development of Korea’s logistics industry. Through my research activities there, I was able to gain a lot of practical experience. With the goal of becoming the best in my field, I obtained accounting-related qualifications, such as XX and XX, which enabled me to improve my work performance. As the company mainly dealt with foreign exports and imports, I felt the need to learn foreign languages, so I studied English and Chinese. Unlike English, which I had been studying steadily since college, Chinese was not easy. As the trade market with China grew, I felt the need to learn Chinese, so I started from the basics and worked my way up. Memorizing Chinese characters was the most difficult part, but I was able to overcome the difficulty through repeated study. Thanks to these efforts, I am now fluent in English and Chinese. I am confident that these language skills will be a great asset to your company’s business performance.

Motivation for applying and aspirations

Despite my fragile first impression, I have a strong spirit that surprises those around me. I am a sensitive person, but I strive to keep my personal feelings out of my work. I have worked hard for many years to become the best in sales. I believe that hard work never betrays you. I believe that if you have conviction and do your best to achieve your goals, you can become the best in any field. I am confident that all of my abilities, including my personality traits, are optimized for sales work. I will do my best at all times to show that this was the best recruitment process.
