What else can you show in a self-introduction letter for an office job besides basic skills?

In this blog post, we will introduce how to include elements that can increase your competitiveness in office work, such as problem-solving skills and attitude toward collaboration, in addition to basic skills such as document creation and schedule management.

Growth

As a child, I was a restless kid who always craved attention. Whenever I had a chance to dance or sing in front of adults, I never missed it. I would always volunteer, saying, “I’ll do it! I’ll do it!” before anyone else could even suggest it, and I enjoyed the attention and applause I received from the audience. I didn’t realize that this attention was only because I was the beloved child of the family, and I would pester my parents to let me participate in every singing contest and TV talent show. At that time, I had the temperament of a celebrity on TV, and I had a somewhat conceited attitude, thinking that it was natural to be the center of attention and loved by everyone wherever I went.
However, when my younger siblings and cousins were born, and I grew up little by little and was no longer the darling of the family, I realized that the tables had turned and I now had the responsibilities of an older brother. It was the job of the younger children to entertain the adults by singing and dancing with their awkward pronunciation, while I had to stand by their side and applaud them. When I tried to sing or dance, I did get a little attention, but it wasn’t the enthusiastic welcome I used to get, which was a bit of a shock. It was difficult for me to accept that the attention and love I had been given were not because of my talent or charm, but simply because I was “that age.” This was a major turning point in my childhood.

School life

At one point, I took the attention and love I received for granted, and my outgoing personality began to fade. I fell into a depression, wondering if I really had any talent at all. This was because no one appreciated my talents in singing contests, talent shows, dance classes, or vocal lessons, where I used to participate with confidence. As I realized that I was just a “normal kid” like my other friends, I became discouraged. What saved me was a teacher I met during my school days, who told me that being the center of attention and standing out from the crowd is not the only thing people should pursue in life.
He said that the world is like a huge machine, and only a small number of people can play important roles that attract everyone’s attention, but each of us needs to be a part that fits perfectly into our role and functions correctly. My teacher comforted me, saying that I just hadn’t found it yet, that I too had a place that fit me perfectly, and that I was just disappointed because I had misjudged it. He told me that all I had to do was start my journey to find the right place for me. He also actively helped me find areas that I was interested in and talented at. If it weren’t for him, who changed my prejudice that unless you are admired and loved by everyone, you are just one of the masses, and who actively searched for a place for me to fit in, I might still be trapped in mediocrity, wallowing in defeatism, thinking that “whatever I do, I’m just average.”

Personality

I believe that a person’s innate limitations, special skills, and aptitudes are all important clues to finding one’s place in life, and I am proactive in exploring what kind of work suits me best. I used to compare myself to people who were loved and admired by everyone and lived glamorous lives, and I lamented why I wasn’t born that way. However, I changed my way of thinking and came to believe that even my fate was a factor that would ultimately lead me to the right place for me, and I grew to love my innate abilities and environment a little more. Today, we judge beauty based on height, and we admire tall people, but there are many careers in which being too tall can actually be a disadvantage. If you find a job that suits your characteristics, your conditions and limitations can become fantastic talents that are loved by others.
I believe that if you don’t see your limitations and direction as shackles that hold you back, but rather focus on how to make the most of them, you will be able to achieve greater results than others. I have always lived positively, and this has enabled me to live a more energetic life.

Life philosophy

We all believe that we want to be parts that play our proper roles in the world. This is because the enormous machine that keeps the world turning requires new personnel to be added with each generation and time for them to fulfill their roles before it can continue moving forward toward the next generation without stopping. We have been able to achieve this level of development through the labor of our ancestors, and now that we have grown through their training and blessings, it is our turn to take up the baton and move forward.
Just as a machine can operate more efficiently when each part is in its proper place and filling its role, we must find the place where we can best utilize our abilities and strive to perform tasks that meet the needs of others. This is because the development of society is the surest path to the development of the individual.

Motivation for applying and aspirations after joining the company

No matter how talented or influential a person may be, it is difficult to exert enough power to overwhelm and move the entire world. I have long believed that we are all just individual parts that function to keep the world turning. As long as we are human beings, we have characteristics unique to our species and are bound to encounter limitations that are inherent to those characteristics. Therefore, I believe that the most desirable career path is to find the role that is right for you. Your company’s business model, which involves manufacturing high-quality parts and finding the right role for them, aligns with my beliefs, which is why I decided to apply.
If I am given the opportunity to join your company, I promise to start from the bottom and grow steadily with a humble attitude, without showing off or trying to impress others. I want to show you my strength, which is my ability to work hard and be sincere in everything I do. I am well aware that consistent daily effort is the key to growing one’s abilities most efficiently, and that if I carelessly hope for luck and harbor vain ambitions, I may slip back to where I started.
